Publisher's Summary

Imagine how different your life would be if you truly knew how to read the other people in your life.

Whether its assessing potential business clients, knowing what your colleagues are really thinking, or simply being able to read the true intentions of strangers on the street, you will gain such an advantage in life and get so much more out of your relationships as a result. Especially when it comes to spotting potentially deceitful behavior. But most people aren't equipped with the right verbal and non-verbal analysis tools to do it.

Katherine Chambers is an ex-Stanford Psychologist who specializes in all forms of neuroscientific and psychotherapy subjects. However, it wasn't until she left college life and entered the real world, did she start to understand these theoretical topics in a practical sense. One skill she has continued to perfect, is the art of analyzing people.

In this insightful and functional audiobook, Chambers gives listeners a firsthand look into the body language principles, as well as a practical real life guide on how to:

  • Understand your own biochemistry, to better understand others
  • Use the five contextual cues to assess any situation
  • Detect "Leaking Signals" people subconsciously give away
  • Understand the words being spoken, and why they were selected
  • Pattern seeking secrets of the limbs
  • Interpret the goldmine of gestures of facial expressions
  • Use the "Pinocchio Principle" to detect general deception

And much more.

How to Analyze People is a mixture of theoretical principles combined with real life practical advice on how to read the behavior of anyone. The verbal and non-verbal analysis tools will help you get a leg-up in every interaction in your life, from business associates, family/friend relationships, and everything in between.

Body Language 101

If you've already read (or listened to) a good book on body language then you may be disappointed with this one. There's nothing new here. In fact, it's downright basic. I have read or listened to other books with significantly more information on the topic.
If this is your first book on reading body language, you may like it; I didn't. I kept listening for something new, but it didn't come until the bonus chapters. I found those to be the most interesting, by far. However, the topics of those chapters seemed to be totally disconnected from the rest of the book.

Worth the listen!!

It made the book topic stick out in a good way. Deborah Fennelly tone of voice is one, that I would recommend for educational and other nonfiction listen. She just has that voice that suits the topics well. Educational and interesting.

Quick and informative.

The book was really good, clear and easy on my ears. The narration was very well done. I didn't loose focus and zone out as I sometimes do with audiobooks.

Rambling

Uncanny way of repeating the obvious over and over and over again . Very little take away

Shallow and cliched

Lacks depth and is more of a personal ad than educational material. If she has the long history she states, she could have put far more effort into depth and details.

AN excellent guide

Interesting, analyzing people is a very intriguing topic for me. The strategies are great and very useful on reading people. Some indications are not that easy to spot and analyze but this guide was very handy in deciphering them. This is worth sharing, it would be a huge difference if a lot of people could understand others better.
