Publisher's summary

How would you like to know what the people around you are thinking? Would you like to network like a pro, persuade your boss to give you that promotion, and finally become the life of every party? Now, with Henrik Fexeus' expertise, you can.

This international best seller teaches you everything you need to know in order to become an expert at mind-reading. Using psychology-based skills such as non-verbal communication, reading body language, and using psychological influence, Fexeus explains how listeners can find out what another person thinks and feels - and consequently control that person’s thoughts and beliefs. Short, snappy chapters cover subjects such as contradictory signs and what they mean, how you flirt with people without even knowing it, methods of suggestion and undetectable influence, how to plant and trigger emotional states, and impressive demonstrations and party tricks.

Fexeus gives listeners practical (and often fun) tips and examples about how to effectively mind-read others and how to use this information to their advantage, both in personal and business settings.

Sound science with some enjoyment

The book is certainly not exactly what the "fancy" title suggests :-).

It is actual science, based on behavioural analysis and worth a thought for you in all human relationships: If you're casually at a bar, a medic professional who is careful about what info you are conveying to your patient (and what truths you're getting), discussing with your significamt one, avoiding the worst in a traffic misunderstanding, or simply spending some fun time with friends. The fact is, body language will tell you some special "words", no matter what.

Use this knowledge with ethics, add a pint of emotional control, and you may be rewarded with a more
peaceful way out of conflicts.

Use it with a pint of evil insteead? You might get something out of it, if your partner is inattentive and naïve. Or you might not.

I shoult tell you a story: My earlier boss has tried it with me once; not only she (yes, it was "she", and I am "he") did nod succeed. I managed to force it out of it, and — to my surprise — one of the people present suddenly cried: "She's trying to 'read' him!". So it unexpectedly backfired.

Mind you, this is not the first book about the topic I read; and also, body language has strong cultural influences. But bad morals are not that difficult to pick out if you're attentive to it.

Henrik has created a fun and very useful audiobook

If you, like me are a huge fan of Derren Brown, you will really enjoy this book. Henrik's ability to teach listeners how to improve their understanding of human behavior, gain a better understanding of ourselves in the process, improve their interactions with others and have fun with the skills that we can all acquire with practice, practice and more practice.

l will now buy the paperback and pre-order his upcoming book The Art of Social Excellence, take notes, make mind maps and of course, practice and incorporate the skills discussed in the excellent book.

Highly recommended!!
