People are the problem. They're always the problem. If a business person goes home frustrated, if they talk with their significant other about it, if they lay awake at night stewing about it, inevitably the problem is some person at work - a colleague, subordinate, or boss. Handling people issues is every leader's major headache. It's what takes up the majority of their time and - more important - the bulk of their head space. Every leader can and must develop this most important of all management skills.

What do you need besides motivation and willpower? In Commit to Win, Heidi Reeder, PhD, unpacks over forty years of research by psychologists and economists to show that the key to reaching any goal, whether it’s to hit the gym more often or to finally quit that dead-end job, isn’t motivation, willpower, or determination. It’s commitment. Busting the myths most of us believe about commitment, Reeder shows that it all comes down to four variables.

Her Voice Could Sour Milk
The content in this book is fine. But the author's voice and accent commits unspeakable atrocities on the English language, like pronouncing 'forward' as 'faux-PAUSE-word' or 'warm' as 'worm'.
Another narrator would have made listening a more pleasurable experience.

Very dissapointed. More than just dissapointed.
Okay - I tried to listen to this book about 6 or 7 times and still couldn't finish it. Wish I listen to the reviews and ACT not to buy this book. This is my first ever review. Sad to say that this was very annoying, one tone voice, not realistic, very irritating, far fetch from real life... I'll stop there. Waste of money.

Great program, highly recommend!
I don't know what the reviewer Amanda is thinking, I think Tamara's voice is great and it is not irritating at all. Good enunciation and delivery. Tamara is an exceptional speaker. This audiobook comes with lots and lots of bonuses you should take advantage of on her website. The book also has inspirational stories and gives you the tools and teaches the skills to Get Motivated! Highly recommend!

Waste of money, even worse, waste of time
What would have made Get Motivated! better?
She started with explaining how her and her husband were looking for a business to get into. No other reason for starting a motivational lectures.
What was most disappointing about Tamara Lowe’s story?
She is in it for the money. No experience and no other motivation for getting into the lecture circuit.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Very disappointed. Angry that someone would sell this as a legit motivational content.
Any additional comments?

Huh?
Would you ever listen to anything by Tamara Lowe again?
No
Any additional comments?
I would have returned this if it were still eligible for return.(Although I'm not certain I paid for it--it could have been a freebie.) Uses a poorly-crafted test to assign some dubious categories of motivational type ("motivational DNA"), and then proceeds to give a bunch of generic advice, peppered with plenty of self-serving and self-aggrandizing anecdotes--a couple of which are pretty hard to believe--and some religious rhetoric. Add the grating accent and borderline-monotone delivery (Seriously, it's your own book, can't you read it with a little more pep?) and, well, I'm done. I'll admit I didn't get to the end. I'll also admit I fell asleep during part of it. So there may be some good parts I don't know about. But I still wouldn't recommend it.
