Game Changer!

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Success Principle 1. Absolutely no complaining or blaming. The place you are in life is because of your actions alone. This is great because you then have the power to make the changes you want.

Any additional comments?

If a person could only learn one book in their life it needs to be this! I don't recommend you go through it....devour it! Should be required reading in schools every year beginning in the 4th grade through PhD. If that actually occurred, the world would be a dramatically better place.

Anyone can benefit as this addresses how a person becomes their best self in all aspects from financial to relationships to work satisfaction.

Where most books are short this is long but not long winded. Instead of being a summary of paradigms as books often are today The Success Principles gets into detail of how to make changes.

The only disappointment is that for Jack Canfield is not the narrator. Danny Campbell does a fine job but if you have listened to Mr. Canfield's other books with him as the speaker then you know how he has a terrific delivery with a voice inflection that is more true to what the book is going for. The word perfect is used far too often but I would say the only thing keeping this book from perfection is that Jack is not the narrator.

I cannot say enough positive things. Since reading The Success Principles my business has doubled in size! I encourage people to get both the audio book version to listen to while in the car and the Kindle/paper version to read so the visual part of your brain is also exposed to the information. Quit reading this review and buy the book!

I consider Jack to be a living legend and this book is a gift to share with everyone you care about. I'm giving it to everyone I know as Birthday gifts. It really is that good!

I found it be very helpful and it works. I started to implement the principles and I am seeing results. You can see my family and I are using these principles on you tube, look up Curtis Canett, and follow my journey while I'm using the principles described in this book. I

Great book but. NOT great narrator

Love the book, truly inspiring, with helpful references and golden nuggets! However, I wasn't too fond with the narrator because he got mixed up between she/he. Highly recommended!

NOT Read by Jack Canfield

What did you like best about The Success Principles(TM) - 10th Anniversary Edition? What did you like least?

I owned the audio book of the Success Principles for many years and loved that Jack Canfield was reading the book. I was so very excited to see a 10th anniversary edition and pre-ordered it. When the download finished I was sorely disappointed that it was not Jack Canfield who was reading the book, but rather another narrator. The narrator was technically ok, but gone was the enthusiasm and the vocal inflection that was unique to the author that made the original Success Principles recording what it was. It just felt so much less passionate and fell quite flat to my listening ear. In the book, Jack talks about giving feedback; well here is mine: Jack, please never do that again. Never allow someone else to read your work when it is your voice and your direct narration that sells you and your work best.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack Canfield

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator is not the author and sounds unenthusiastic and lacks authenticity.

Was The Success Principles(TM) - 10th Anniversary Edition worth the listening time?

Yes. However, I am very disappointed that the narrator was not Jack Canfield and hearing someone else read The Success Principles was a shock.

Any additional comments?

Jack Canfield needs to read his own audio books and not entrust this to any other narrator.

This book was very inspiring and provided great tools and insights for everyday success. It has been updated to include many of the tools now relevant in this ever changing world of technology that can be highly useful for those looking to grow professionally or launch and grow a business. I loved the fact that he not only presented the idea or resources but gave specific examples you can reference. Highly recommended!

REAL REALITY CHECK

Would you listen to The Success Principles(TM) - 10th Anniversary Edition again? Why?

Absolutely yes

Who was your favorite character and why?

The author gives the reader a proper reality check. You are left with no more excuses after reading it. The only only option you have is to take action and make your dreams come true. Unless one is a complete mopet of course!

Have you listened to any of Danny Campbell’s other performances? How does this one compare?

no

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely yes

Any additional comments?

Outstanding content, definitely recommended

Completely Life Changing Audiobook

life changing if you take action on the advice given.

Jack Canfield is clearly at the top of his profession and this work definitely demonstrates this.

There is at times bits of repetition and a good bit of self promotion for Jack's Chicken Soup for the Soul Series and there is also times that I feel that he has not given enough thought that he is talking to an international audience as there is a lot of references to the USA.

However, that does not detract that this is an excellent, inspiring and comprehensive guide to anyone seeking success anywhere in the world.

Well done and look forward to more.

A small amount of value, the rest is nonsense

The Success Principles is a compendium of all the other self-help books that you may have read. It has vast amounts of pseudo-science, magical thinking, BS and nonsense you can find many life-coach gurus spouting. No surprise then that Einstein, Deepak Chopra and Quantum Physics are all mentioned. Either Canfield, like the rest of his kind completely misunderstand Quantum Physics or they use the term dishonestly to give their preaching some gravitas.

Predictably Canfield regularly encourages you to buy his other products and services, almost on every page.

Early on in the book I cracked up as Canfield describes how one of the attendees at his course turned his life around and became a success, terrific! However it was not by developing self-confidence or learning to manage their money properly or getting the education they missed out on due to their troubled upbringing. But by becoming a trainer teaching people about the Success Principles. That doesn’t seem quite right to me.

The narrator, although fluid in his delivery, sounds like a cross between a televangelist and salesman (if there is a difference) and wasn’t particularly nice to listen to.

However, I think the book deserves two stars because amongst the painful to listen to rubbish there are a few good ideas that have come from reputable sources or sound sensible.

I can’t help thinking though, that if an individual took on and practiced all the suggestions in the Success Principles they would become the worst kind of American capitalist Republican.

Too much ads

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Almost every chapter of this audio book contains URL links and promotion of how great this book is. I personally believe that this content has no value for LISTENERS.

P.P.
There is no need to add "www" to every URL link - web browsers do this for you.

PIVOTAL book for anyone who means business about change!!

I bought this book as an audio to listen to while exercising..... a few chapters in I HAD to get the hard copy so I could go home and re read, circle, talk to my husband about and really get into more.
I read only non fiction and loads of books - this book has had a profound impact on me and I have challenged old behaviour and patterns which have previously kept me stuck.
I will be buying this book for my children (at the right time) and my friends as gifts. Thank you SO much Jack. I am so grateful for your teachings!!!

Kinda sexist but still a classic

Definitely skews old—Some stomach churning old gender stereotypes and mind-numbing, sometimes outdated advice on the digital age, but the personal development stuff is awesome and I plan to now go back and start listening to this again from the beginning
