Looking forward to putting in use.

Great read - actionable takeaways. I started putting some principles in action as I read, but looking forward to recalibrating work life with this going forward.

Excellent Gide to getting your act together

After this book it is abundantly clear that the cult like feeling you get whenever some new approach comes along is a natural response to change. In reading and acting on the four disciplines you can remain agnostic and still benefit from the results. It is the utmost importance that you never confuse efforts with results. This is about results. Thank you to the Authors and everyone responsible for getting it published.

Well organized.

Audio version was slightly different than paperback, using more relatable phrasing for the practical usage of the information.

Excellent content, narration was awful

This is an excellent framework for organizational goal setting and management, and driving toward goals with a clear and effective methodology. I share pieces of this information to my customer organizations to help focus on success in delivery and product deployment.

The content is great but one of the narrators is absolutely insufferable. He chuckles through every other sentence making the listening experience so irritating I had a hard time getting through it. The other narrator was fine, but for the sake of the bad one I would rate performance 0 stars if I could. They should re-record this with a new narrator.

Interesting

So many topics covered here that I have contemplated for decades. this helped galvanize my thinking. the reference to the PDF was my one negative observation... perhaps it's impossible to avoid, but I consume audio because time is limited and audio+exercise = healthy mind & body. the PDF references make the equation somewhat challenging. Still a solid concept. Well done.

Good book.

Good program. I liked how it was broken into two sections for individuals and companies.

Who on Earth thought the fake laugh was good?

The weird affectation of half chuckling every three to five words is remarkably off-putting.

Great book HORRIBLE performance. Get new voices!!!

This info is important and useful but the audio makes me feel like I’m a boring lecture and fall asleep. The voices are monotone and writing and execution are their specialty not being an audible voice. Know your forte

Considerations when updating

These guidelines obviously work and have been hugely successful. It is my hope and prayer when the book is updated in the future, Mrs. Walker’s story is removed. While the things she said as a whole were true on paper, it wasn’t true in application. Fewer children didn’t die on her watch, they rewrote what “under protection” meant. I wish I would have listened to the original publication.
