To make the journey into The Power of Now you need to leave your analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. Access to the Now is everywhere - in the body, the silence, and the space all around you. These are the keys to enter a state of inner peace.
This long-awaited second book by renowned spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle goes deeper into the teachings so eloquently and clearly expressed in his first book, The Power of Now.
With the same extraordinary skill that he used to demystify scientific abstraction and the new physics, Gary Zukav, the award-winning author of The Dancing Wu Li Masters, here takes us on a brilliant and penetrating exploration of the new phase of evolution we have now entered.
Practicing the Power of Now is a carefully arranged series of excerpts from the The Power of Now that directly gives us those exercises and keys. Return to those words, reflect on the words, reflect even on the space between the words and - maybe over time, maybe immediately - you'll discover something of life-changing significance.
The theme of this four-day retreat: "It's Always Now" The Now is inseparable from who you are at the deepest level. It is the prerequisite of Being. As you listen to the words on this tape, you participate in the retreat. To "retreat" means to step back - not only from the outer world, but also from the world in your head, the thinking mind. Allow the sound of the words to take you beyond words and beyond sound to the stillness within.
This gifted teacher's most useful audio sessions are available in one convenient resource with The Eckhart Tolle Audio Collection. This edition includes three audio best sellers with Eckhart Tolle.

After film critic Gene Siskel asked her, "What do you know for sure?" Oprah Winfrey began writing the "What I Know for Sure" column in O, The Oprah Magazine. Saying that the question offered her a way to take "stock of her life", Oprah has penned one column a month over the last 14 years.
This series represents an opportunity to participate in a one week retreat with Eckhart and so to go deeper into stillness – becoming one with who you are in the depth of your Being. A certain degree of spiritual maturity, however, is required of anyone wishing to participate fully in this retreat series. What is spiritual maturity? You know the meaning of presence, not as a concept, but as a living reality.
Spiritual teacher Michael A. Singer explores the question of human identity and shows how the development of consciousness can enable us all to dwell in the present moment and achieve happiness and self-realization.
Oprah Winfrey says Super Soul Sunday is the television show she was born to do. "I see it as an offering," she explains. "If you want to be more fully present and live your life with a wide-open heart, this is the place to come to." Now, for the first time, the aha moments of inspiration and soul-expanding insight that have enlightened millions on the three-time Emmy Award-winning Super Soul Sunday are collected in The Wisdom of Sundays, a beautiful, cherishable, deeply affecting audiobook.
If you really want to know how spiritually awake you are, spend time around other people. For each of our relationships - from the brief interaction with the barista to our bonds with lifelong partners or family members - reflect back to us our predominant state of consciousness. On Enlightened Relationships, Eckhart Tolle offers an insightful two-session program for bringing the transformational power of presence into this often challenging yet deeply rewarding area of our lives.
Once you've experienced the power of the present moment, what's next? Eckhart Tolle, who ignited a spiritual awakening in the West with his best-selling The Power of Now, invites you to join him on a path that takes us even further into the profound experience of pure presence.
A Course in Miracles, also known as "the Course" or ACIM, was scribed by Dr. Helen Schucman. It is a self-study course that aims to assist listeners, readers, and students in achieving spiritual transformation. Book 1: Text is largely theoretical, and sets forth the concepts on which the Course's thought system is based. Its ideas contain the foundation for the lessons in Book 2, the Workbook for Students.
In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, the The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.
In Meditations for a New Earth, Eckhart's teaching partner, Kim Eng, presents eight guided practices that let you go deeper into "the formless awareness that has already awakened within you". Whether you are an experienced meditator or just starting out, Kim Eng brings you a program of valuable insights and techniques.
Awakening from this dream, explains Eckhart Tolle, starts by coming into a new relationship to the present moment—and discovering who we are beneath the noisy surface of our lives. Recorded at Riverside Church in New York City, Transcending the Ego offers Eckhart's helpful pointers for realizing what he calls our "being nature"—our deeper identity beyond the personal sense of self.
Spoken simply, with his hallmark warmth, humor, and compassion, here is Eckhart's full presentation of a beautiful way to live.
When we resist the present moment, we close the door to happiness. But when we align with what is, we access the source of lasting peace and contentment. On The Secret of Happiness, Eckhart Tolle invites you to experience how your sense of joy and fulfillment radically changes through the awakening of consciousness and the realization of who you are beyond the content of your thoughts.
Building on the astonishing success of The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle presents listeners with an honest look at the current state of humanity: He implores us to see and accept that this state, which is based on an erroneous identification with the egoic mind, is one of dangerous insanity.
Tolle tells us there is good news, however. There is an alternative to this potentially dire situation. Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one.
In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are, which is something infinitely greater than anything we currently think we are, and learn to live and breathe freely.
Wow, much more value than I expected from the title. I stumbled on this book and am ecstatic that I did.
This book/audio should be experienced by everyone for one or more of the following three reasons:
1) If you are happily going about life, not on a spiritual quest, never had a mystical moment and believe that you are just like everyone else, then this book will give you insights on how to experience more life and help you answer many of your difficult questions that you seldom think about.
2) If you have had a mystical experience, remember it and want to get back to that "state" again, then this book shows you how to, why you should want to and what amazing things await you when you do.
3) If you are on a spiritual quest, stop here. You need not search further. Eckhart gives you your answers in clear English for the Western reader. This is an amazing find for you.
Now, the down side. You will be distracted by Eckhart's accent. After a while in the book I realized why (although he never really speaks much about himself). Realized beings in the "state" have a breathy, deliberate, considered and generally slow way of speaking. This can lull you to sleep, but listern to the words and you will be fine.
This is the real McCoy. He knows. Listen.

Sometimes a book comes along that takes all of the murky concepts that you are struggling with, shines a light on them, and makes them simple and powerful. This for me is that book. I drive to work and back each day, 1-hour each way. This book has become my constant commuting companion. I have listened to it over and over and over again. Each time I get something new from it even though I have heard it many times before. It doesn't matter if I start at the beginning or in some random place. New meaning and insight just keep coming through. I can see subtle changes in my life each day as I apply the wisdom. I have no doubt that I am changing the world! Thank you Ekhart Tolle.

A spiritual book for those not into organized religion. This book changed me after one listen. It reveals how most suffering and stress come from within. The mind is a tool to be used for in-the-moment problems, but otherwise the mind takes a person out of the here-and-now with habitual thinking about past and future speculations. I bought this and listen to it over and over to help deepen the effect. After this book, I realized all my "problems" are as illusory as a mirage.

After reading the negative reviews of this audiobook, I was somewhat wary of buying it, but the positive reviews convinced me to go on and try it. I'm so glad I did! The negative reviewers complained about Eckhart Tolle's monotone, saying that it put them to sleep. I, however, found his voice to be the perfect vehicle for his message, which emphasizes the differences between the ego and consciousness. I strongly recommend this book to everyone on a spiritual quest.

This book is a must to read or listen to over and over. Eckhart Tolle's point is clearer than ever and is expressed in a way that you understand the meaning of being in the moment. If you are on this journey to find true meaning, this book brings it home for you with examples that apply to your life. Suddenly the stillness is there and you can understand how to find the peace we all need to be truly happy and be part of humanity.

After listening to A NEW EARTH it suddenly all made sense - the universe, religions and our insatiable egoic mind, which is the source of so much pain and suffering. What's great is that the book doesn't just point out the problem, but it sparks a transformation that is part of the solution.

While I really am drawn to the author's take on the world, how to approach life and view oneself I disappointingly was surprised by his reading voice. This sense of surprise was quickly replaced by an interesting problem of being drawn into the voice and losing tract of what he was saying. Then, I found that the reading was possibly the best remedy for insomnia ever invented. Try as I did, repeatedly to stay awake and really listen to his message I never could. I shelved the recorded book and moved on to a text copy which I give a whole hearted thumbs up. Oh well, Audible I applaud your efforts at having the author read his own book, but for me it just didn't work out.

I loved this audio book!
Eckhart Tolle' voice at first seemed a little odd, but I soon got very used to it and by the end of the book I enjoyed his voice, it is very soothing and very genuine.
I really needed this book, I truly feel different. My Mom died a few months before and my mind was very busy in the past. Tolle really gave me a new way of looking at the world.
I enjoyed the whole book and have listened to it 3 times (long commute to work) but the third chapter is where it gets interesting. Man, I had no idea how much ego I had. Definitely awakening. As a Mom and a wife I have seen a big change in myself over the past 6 weeks since I have listened to this audio book. Thanks Oprah for recommending it!

When I began listening to this audiobook, I almost immediately thought 'Uh-oh, I don't know if I can listen to this'. I stuck with it and have listened to it three or four times and have got more from it each time. If you are looking to be entertained and motivated by someone speaking in an excited tone of voice, then you probably won't enjoy this audiobook, you may get more by reading the actual book, or you may not get anything out of either. The teachings in this book are so powerful, it just might be too much for some. For those of you that are ready......Enjoy!

I must be honest here, I have spent my life so far being a bit of a cynic about anything that isnt completely factual with the exception of emotions and creativity, and am as such a total atheist. But I'd been having a hard time and was informed by reliable sources (ie. Russell Brand...) that this book is pretty remarkable.
The opening lines of the book had my sighing and preparing myself to be utterly correct in my preconception that this would be a very hippie dippie book and would not on any level relate to me or my life, with its subject of the beauty of flowers. As beautiful as I agree flowers are I initially did not see how this was relevant.
Throughout the course of this book I had several moments of pure clarity and a genuine challenge to my previously held beliefs that I found utterly fascinating. I am, probably to my detriment, a very opinionated person and I really appreciate and enjoy anything that legitimately changes my mind.
This book changed my mind.
If you can get past the connected one-ness of the universe dialogue and see the truth that lies between the lines of what I initially thought to be meaningless. At least to me anyway.
And it genuinely helped. I'm not going to go into my personal issues in a book review, and everyone has their own intricately differing situations, but it was refreshing to see things from a new perspective and therapeutic to have the soothing voice of Eckhart reading his wisdom aloud, like my own personal therapist.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. If you want to make the most out of it, listen, pause and think. Maybe also grab a pen and some paper and jot down ideas. You won't regret it!

I loved this book when I was first give it in India by a wonderful and selfless man who thought I needed it (and I did). I will ever be in his debt. This book truly changed my life by changing the way I respond to the 'chattering' in my head. I hope it will do the same for you. Buy it and listen, but be warned, this is not a book for the car, I found my concentration was on the book and certainly not on the road.

Seriously I love the work of Eckhart Tolle but if I had listened at normal speed I would have had to give this a 1 star review. He speaks so painfully slowly and without any drama or character to his voice that it is almost impossible to listen.
The audible app allows you to play back at different speeds and what do you know if you play him at 1.5x he sounds much better.

What made the experience of listening to A New Earth the most enjoyable?
Instantly listening to Eckhart's voice brings me at ease, but it is HIS TRUTH that brings so much clarity to life's questions. This book needs to be brought into the classrooms of our children, its "way of being" to be shared with all ages... even in adulthood. I found his teachings to be comforting, enlightening and just makes pure sense of this world and our very existence.
An amazing extension to The power of Now! Dive deeper into consciousness. My favourite chapter is 11
This book has content that shows you how to change your life and thought processes, thus enabling you to become a better , more peaceful version of yourself within your own world.
A truly challenging and thought provoking read that I would have loved to have discovered earlier in my life.
Loved it. Very inspirational and supportive guidance for everday life . Highly recommend to anyone.
I have been required to listen a couple of times to let it sink in but for anyone suffering this book will resonate with you.
