Publisher's summary

Adyashanti asks us to let go of our struggles with life and open to the full promise of spiritual awakening: the end of delusion and the discovery and expression of our essential being. After 15 years as a spiritual teacher, Adyashanti has found that the simpler the teaching, the greater its power to initiate this awakening.

On Falling into Grace, he shares what he considers fundamental insights to "open ourselves to that mysterious element that enters in the hidden and quiet moments and sparks a revolution in the way that we perceive life." Wherever you may be on your own spiritual path, you will find in these sessions down-to-earth guidance on breaking the trance of ego, experiencing the raw energy of emotion, cultivating inner stability, transcending the world of opposites, and more.

In the same way that we fall into the arms of a loved one or drop our heads on the pillow at night, we can surrender into the beauty and truth of who and what we really are. Falling into Grace is a program that gets to the core of why we suffer, and allows us to explore Adyashanti's invitation "to be taken by a moment of grace and fall into a sense of life when it is not separate from you, when life is actually an expression of something indefinable, mysterious, and immense."

Highlights:

  • The human dilemma - the concept of a separate self and the choice to stop believing the thoughts that perpetuate suffering
  • “Taking the backward step” into the pure potential of the present moment
  • Why spiritual awakening can be a disturbing process
  • Intimacy and availability - feeling absolute union with every part of our experience
  • True autonomy - the unique expression of our own sense of freedom

Soul Food

After reading one of Adyashanti's books, I immediately used an audible credit to listen to this book. Adyashanti has a soothing voice and comes across being quite genuine and vulnerable with his message. I'm new to this type of spiritual thought, but I sought it out after having a sudden, mind opening experience that I could only call "enlightenment". Adyashanti's work is among the very few that I could find touching on this subject. His work doesn't simply feed the ego some spiritual promise or fraudulent riff raff which is rampant in spiritual self help books, no. His works are quite grounding and tell you about his own accounts with enlightenment and losing one's ego. The process is very gradual and humbling. Listening to him is like having a personal guide or friend who can help you see some contentment in where you're at right now. I think the focus of this text was humbling experiences that lead to the conclusions of spiritual enlightenment, sort of letting go of expectations and wants and just embracing what is. Overall, I would suggest this to anyone who is interested in personal development on the spiritual side.

Very spiritual and helpful

This book really helped me with acceptance of "what is".. Even when "what is" seems unfair and horrible, it's part of reality and it helped me learn to be more accepting snd happy regardless of what may have happened in the past or whatever may happen in the future.
I loved it.

Since this cd I am a diffrent person I am more compassionate I found my spirit my true self and I don't act from labels or agreements that I have conceived over the years.. It is a great cd to know the truth that your not your thoughts or story and to act from a higher purer self .

Outstanding and Transformational!

Outstanding narration. Melodic and easy to listen to. Absolutely best understanding and description of the value of recognizing and separating from the ego that I have read. Excellent for first time introduction to eastern philosophies.

If only everyone could hear

There but the grace of God go I. What a blessing of each of you would take a few hours and listen to this recording.

I would love to hear from you if you do.

There is nothing wrong with where you are, and nothing less than wonder with where you can go.

This recording points to key portions of the journey.

This will take you into and beyond

Have you listened to any of Adyashanti’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This has to be his best so far. Much matured understanding of what it means to be "awakened". Better to be a participant in life instead of a spectator. Well done Adyashanti. Refreshing to say the least.

Great monologue on Adyas own experience

I like this audio program because Adya speaks of his own experience mostly and not too much on others. He has a calming voice so it's great to listen to then fall asleep

More silence please

I’ve been spoiled by Eckhart Tolle
Nobody does it better. Same old stuff very informative but constant waffling without any silence in betweenjust doesn’t take you into stillness the same
Nice for falling asleep to, but more silence please ! Xxx

Truly excellent

An excellent and beautifully narrated teaching by a zen master.
This book will challenge everything you thought was true but was actually just a false representation of the world by your flawed mind. Be prepared to become enlightened.

Deeply profound

This is something I feel If I had read even one year ago, I wouldnt have understood it. So its a book that requires openess and a willingness to let go of your own ego.

Excellent A+++

Where does Falling into Grace rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have listened To True Meditation by Adyashanti and this is the best yet!!, as well as his Guided Meditations which I also get a lot of help from , I have always liked his work. I have this book on auidable because it ranks 1st in my books!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

NA

What does Adyashanti bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

His voice is really calm and relaxed and enjoyed the theory, if I had read the print version it might have not been the same.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed this book as well as his other books and some of the chapters were really enjoyable and moving in some ways.

The theory is very down to earth.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic read just buy it!!!!

Good spiritual journey

I love Adyashanti meditations more than any others as he has a way of gently leaning you in but not as keen on the book. It’s certainly very good but I’m not a lover of the story examples as I find them a bit simple so can’t accept that he says it didn’t understand them . I think he’s dumbing down to get the messages across. I’m a total believer in no duality and everything he represents however in his beliefs.
