Rough Start But a Solid Series.

I gave the omnibus 4 stars primarily because I don't want to scare potential listeners away from these books. I wasn't sure about the quality of them as I got through the first book. The dialogue was overly dramatic and it took away from the relatively unique storyline. However, as the books progressed the author went away from the gratuitous drama and I sincerely enjoyed the rest of the books. I'm excited to hear the upcoming books. I definitely recommend this one but I'm giving fair warning that the first book may be tough to get through for hardcore fans of this genre.

I spent my last credit on this steamy pile of dung

I tried. I really did. I forced my way through 5 hours of this garbage. It never got better. If anything it either progressively got worse, or it's lack of improvement just pissed me off more and more.

The narrator's voice was achingly bad... and yet it was probably the best thing about the story.

I haven't looked the author up, but if his writing style is any clue, I'm going to guess he is about 13 years old, with no formal story writing training or education.

There was no character development... just a ridiculous hero, going through life like a normal millennial on his way to an engineering Masters program... when Bam!! He is left some mystical swords as an inheritance. Good thing he conveniently received all of that ninja training from his grandfather while he was growing up, because now he is prepared to handily defeat seasoned warriors and warlocks after making his way to another world... with dragons.

The dialogue made me cringe so hard, I pulled some face muscles. The developing love story made me seriously wanna toss my cookies. It was so predictable and unoriginal that what didn't nauseate me, just made me angry.

I'm upset at the misleading rave reviews. I feel sorry for those listeners if this is the best they've found so far.

I personally want a refund and compensation for the suffering this book caused me.

Not worth it even for 3 books

Vikas Adams is wonderful as always. However the writing of this book is so full of Mary Sue (or Gary Stu) that I may have strained my eyes rolling them. Characters are one dimensional, messages are conflicting and world itself feels like a cardboard cutout. I wont go so far as to say it's actively bad, but there are far better works to spend your credits on.

Such a great story.

So many great twists and turns in this story. Multiple dimensions, magical powers, advanced species from a distant planet, and dragons... everything sci-fi that I love in one story.

Aggressively mediocre and painfully predictable.

You would think that in three books the author would find more than one way to describe various characters. Nope. Repetitive and having the creative flair of a See Spot Run book. The plot line was also ridiculously predictable.

Save your credit, look elsewhere.

AWESOME SERIES., BRILLIANT WRITER AND WELL PERFORMED.

I am glad to purchase The Safanarian Order Omnibus comprising of books 1-3. It was a fantastic adventure with strong protagonists and secondary characters. Aaron Jace and Sarah complement each other and his friends and allies were supportive throughout. In the third book Aaron Jace were held captive on the Hytharian homeland and couldn't return to help Safanar. High King Amorak is preparing to invade and Sarah and Aaron's companions are gearing up to the oncoming war. Fantastic story and I can't wait for the next book ASAP. Worth a credit.

sorry.....

there were no previous customers reviews... and im sorry but I can see why.. I just couldn't get interested in the characters or the story, the narration was just irritating and put the final nail home.. I havent stopped listening this early into a story in a long long while... hopefully some other readers will give a contradictory review and I will revist it ...

Didn’t work for me

I had problems with the story in this. The language was just so over done and momentous. Why write one word when 10 will do. I gave it 10 hours but I just don’t care what happened in the story.

boys own type of story

struggled to finish as it is too boys' adventure, overacted by the narrator and continuity poor.
