very captivating

The storyline was excellent and kept my attention. in fact I was captivated and could not stop till it was finished and left me wanting more.

Story was great and reader was amazing

I really enjoyed this book, i see how Mr Anderson is bldg multiverse of madness, hope, love, and happiness. Cant wait for the rest of the books i will now download and listen too.

honestly it took me a chapter or 2 to really get into it, but damn this narrator really does an amazing job! absolutely thrilled throughout the entire rest of this great book.

Akiri

This is one of the better books that I have read in 2017. These are the kind of books that should be written for adults. These are the kind of books that adults like to read

solid story with good pacing

solid story with good pacing, a bit short and dont expect a whole lot of depth though.

also contains some very detailed sex scenes so be warned

A story of a two-dimensional figure and his dragon

While Akiri was spellbound from a young age to be 100% duty-bound to his king and, thus, having a very narrow view of experiencing life much beyond being the king's lead dog, he does begin to broaden his outlook once he befriends a dragon. Even so, he's still casually ruthless and cares little for people who suffer as a consequence of his actions. His character is compelling, however, and it will be interesting to see where the next addition to this series take us.

So when's the next book?

There is so much to say about this book that I won't even try to tell all. I will merely say this getting Akiri was one of the best decisions that I made this year. The book is amazing and the narrator dose a fantastic job. So I will say again when's the next book?

good book

I wouldn't suggest it for a kid. But full of action. waiting for the next.

Fizzels out

Starting out strong the book fizzels out at the end with an anticlimax. Where in the first third we get introduced to an interesting world and characters the middle part ends up being a mediocre popcorn adventure reminiscent of Indiana Jones. The end then feels like the writers ran out of ideas and just wanted it to be over. It left me curious enough for future installments and the excellent narration just pushes it above average.
