Publisher's Summary

The sequel to Ink Witch. War has broken out among the immortals. It's time to choose a side.

Kat Dubois never asked to be the emissary for the good guys. Diplomacy isn't her strong suit, and patience isn't one of her personal virtues. But when a millennia-old god asks you to do a job to further the war cause, you do that job...especially when you're the opposition's most wanted.

Kat's mission is complicated when a mysterious disease crops up among Seattle's homeless population. It's up to her to find a cure while the infection is contained, and to do that, she must go straight to the source - Ouroboros. It's been a week since Kat promised to come after the twisted corporation; the time has come for her to fulfill that promise.

Not as good as 1 but still a winner!

I'm from Seattle so its fun to recognize the locations but that isn't a deciding factor in my rating. This is such an entertaining book.. I feel like I KNOW the main characters. I'm fascinated as to what happens next.

Enjoyable second in series

Enjoyable second part to the storyline which picks up right where the first book left off. Due to the relatively shorter size of both books, they could easily have been one larger book. I listened to them pretty much back to back so it felt like a single book. This book does not have a cliffhanger and resolves the action in this installment but it does also set up the next book in the series. Good narration by Julia Whelan.

Tightly written well-crafted plot

The second book is even better than the first book in the series. The characters continue to draw you in and the plot is unusual. It is not your standard Urban Mythical fare. I cannot wait for the third book.

Excellent series

I don't normally buy an audio under 8 hours, but I'm glad I started this got these. Great characters and not a predictable storyline.
