Some scary-looking aliens have just boarded Fortuna Tau, our little asteroid mining station. Kordolians, by the looks of things. What the hell do they want with this floating rust bucket? The vampire elite must fight, fist and fang, for a much sought after place in the program and a chance to date human women. There are a multitude of beautiful human females in attendance. They have been handpicked to ensure that they are irresistible to vampire males. Why is it then that York wants the one female he can't have?
When Gerri's VampLycan stepfather died, her mother moved them far from his clan. As a teen, it was the most devastating day of her life, because it took Gerri away from Wen, the boy she'd loved since childhood. Fifteen years later that boy has become a gorgeous man straight out of her wildest fantasies - and when he requests to meet her, Gerri suspects just seeing him will set her up for heartbreak all over again.
The petite blonde he fell for as a young VampLycan is still beautiful - and all human. Though Gerri's always been the one he longs to be with, Wen can't mate her. After the death of his brother, Wen was forced to assume the duties of firstborn, which include mating another VampLycan. But he needs a human to pull off his current mission for his clan, hunting a rogue Vampire in a human city. And he'll take any stolen moments with Gerri he can get.
As the danger surrounding the mission mounts, so does their passion, until it's equally perilous. It will take everything in him to keep Wen from claiming his mate...because doing so could mean her death.

Laurann has a way of making the characters come to life. This audiobook is especially good because of the narrator Savannah Richards. She has a way of making the male characters really sound like masculine and the female characters sound feminine but not whiney. Definitely recommend this audiobook to everyone.

The VLG series has been redeemed!! The last book was just ok in my book, but WEN made me a believer once again in the staying power of Laurann Dohner. I don't even remember Wen's character from the other books, but who cares!--he's a hot VL on a mission to recapture the love of his life and take out the crazy rogue vamps and lykens that threaten the packs.
I loved the narration, the humor was spot on, and the sex was hotter than hot. This story pushed every one of my good feels buttons. Credit worthy?--Absolutely!

HELL YES!!!!!!!!! I loved this book I love this series… I want MORE!!
It is not secret I love Laurann’s unique way with romance. :)
And Wen is no exception. I loved Gerri she was so Gerri! Ha I can’t explain her she is strong of mine and body and she knows Wen back in her life would break her heart.
I love that she put up a fight and made him see her for who she was and even though he messes up he fixes it. I loved his clan leader; he really put it all together for me. I loved that she had someone in her corner, she really needed that.
Seriously if you’re a paranormal fan you don’t want to miss out on Laurann Dohner’s work because she is fabulous, and her narrators are icing on the cakes. I swear I could listen over and over to her books and never get bored.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

The only thing I didn't understand is why Wen felt compelled to endanger GL (Geri) on the ghoulmakers mission if he really cared, but this story was nonstop adventure and fun More Wen and Geri needed now.

loved it loved it loved it this is just what I needed to get me though some heat breaking days love being able to get in to a good book to brighten my day's
When Geri's VampLycan father died her human mother not only took her away from the clan and the only home she's ever known, she also ripped her away from her best friend and true love Wen.
They were both underaged so Wen could do nothing to stop her mother from taking Geri away. He vowed to find her when they came of age and make her his mate but his oldest brother was killed on a mission before that happened. Since his brother was gone,, his parents forced the duties of first son on to him... meaning he could never mate make Geri because she was human.
When drastic circumstances force Wen to Geri for help all bets are off as they engage in the fight of their lives; not only their lives but their happiness as well
I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far. The narrator is perfect.
i didn't enjoy the performance. i couldn't get past the first few minutes. i wouldn't recommend
I was disappointed when the release date was delayed but very happy to see this in my library this morning. Hated that i had to stop this in order to go to work and was time watching my entire shift so i could come home to start on this book again. Just like all the others before this one, i was engrossed from start to finish. Cant wait for the next book in this series.
