too much romance for my taste

well written for what it is. This type of omnibus is not for me. I realized that too late. I prefer more paranormal and less soap. But if romance is your cup of tea, this is a good one!!

Entertaining and well worth the credit

It was interesting to actually hear the author improve through these books. This is a bit of a junk food series but despite my issues I was entertained throughout. The writing in book one is very amateurish and cliche but the premise had creativity and heart. The second book had better writing and really got a footing on the world building but was probably the weakest installment of the three. The third book was my favorite, it improved all the things I liked about the first two– I loved it. The third was worth the credit alone.

Though not the peak of literature… there was something very gripping about these books. I appreciate how the author doesn’t hold back on some more graphic details and goes all in. It accomplishes what it set out to do and is very enjoyable. That’s a win in my book.

If you like paranormal romance with a bit of action (and can get past the fanficy bits in the beginning) this may be a good pick for you.

Solid story line

Author has created characters that feel real despite their otherworldly gifts. Plenty of twists and turns. Decent mix of Fred's, Love, Lustre, Sex, and Secrets.
My only complaint is overuse of adverbs that don't add to story line. if anyone would have activated a word count, I'm certain someone would have eliminated many of those. Otherwise, enjoyable. I think as the Author matures, we might just see even better work from her.

Couldn’t put it down

I am a sucker for Vampires, anything paranormal. I thought that the way the Vampires were presented in this was a pleasant surprise. I can’t wait to buy the fourth book, I want to know if any of the siblings will find mates and if they will have children of there own.

Great Love Stories

Although I tend to avoid female narrators doing male characters, Tavia Gilbert was not bad. Glad of that because I intend to continue this series. Love the characters and the storylines.
