Publisher's Summary

The second novel in New York Times best-selling author Jeaniene Frost's Broken Destiny series finds Ivy and Adrian rekindling their alliance - and passion - as the struggle for the fate of the world begins.

Conquering a supernatural realm turned out to be easier than getting over a broken heart. But her initial victory has made Ivy a target for revenge, forcing her to reunite with the dangerous - and dangerously sexy - Adrian. Ivy isn't sure which will be harder: finding the hallowed weapon that will repair the crumbling walls between the demon and human realms or resisting Adrian, who's decided that, come hell or high water, he will make Ivy his.

At first Adrian tried to resist his feelings for Ivy. Now, determined to break the curse that dooms their love, he's vowed to save her and to have her. If only he can persuade her to forgive his past sins. But defying destiny - and surrendering to the smoldering desire between them - will bring consequences and sacrifices they never imagined.

THIS WAS BETTER THAN BOOK 1!

Any additional comments?

This was much better than book 1....but still no Cat and Bones... Ivy and Adrian are good together, but Ivy and her sister are really whiny...and I would like to see them toughen up a bit...sure they are in constant danger and there is a lot going on...but still toughen up..you are a savior ACT LIKE ONE!! I am interested in see where this goes....but I want more Warrior Princess...and less whiny sorority girl....Solid 3.5 for story 5+ for narration Tavia never disappoints me!!!

Narration to fast

For a better listening experience play this story at a lower speed. Feels like the narrator was in a hurry to finish her tale.

I thought I was listening to Vlad again....

I was so disappointed with this book. I'm obsessed with Jeanine Frost and her books. But this one fell short for me. For starters Adrian's accent was changed and it sounded identical to what Tavia Gilbert used as Vlad Tepesh' voice. It was hard getting past that. But also this book was boring. I'm hoping she's just setting it up for an AMAZING 3rd book.

Another winner!

As usual, another great story. I didn't care for the change in the characters accents from the previous books, but quickly acclimated to them.

Jeaniene Frost is the best

I have read all the books in this series before this one, but it has been a while. Jeaniene does an excellent job of catching you up without rehashing the previous books in detail. I didn't miss a step. This, like all the others, is a very exciting book. Ms. Frost does a wonderful job of providing a quality story. There is depth and substance to her stories. The continuing story of Ivy and Adrian is riveting. The narrator, Tavia Gilbert, does an awesome job with the characters and their personalities. Looking forward to more books with this team.

Timeline Moves Along

It's intriguing to see more than just the demon realm and how our characters react to it and one another. The story moves along nicely so I'm looking forward to the next book!

Narrator is less whiney this time around which makes listening much more bearable!

Main character overracts and panics..

There is too much Ivy hysteria in this book. it appeared in 1st book..but in this book it really became annoying. Narrator almost yelling to convey overracted drama. Even Jasmine is always whining .I won't be reading the 3rd book. Very seldom do I stop a series uncompleted.

Holy guacamole!!

This was definitely so much better than the first book!! I really want to know what’s going to happen once the third weapon is found. The narration was perfect for me. At pace with every emotion or circumstances. Capturing each character’s personality is what I appreciate it most. It’s what makes books come alive. Ivy and Adrian still have a destiny to fulfill. Let’s hope Ivy’s sister matures from her college sorority whining type. I am still smiling with anticipation for the next book after I finish this. I had come across “Broken Destiny” series after going through so many Jeaniene Frost novels in a row. I have most respect for narrator Tavia Gilbert. Somehow, I find female narrators to be lacking in voices and accents. This woman is AWESOME!! Tavia, you rock!

Wasn't worth the wait.

This book was supposed to be published last year but for some reason it was pushed back until now. I wish I could say it was worth the wait but it wasn't. The story is okay but not great and I found myself becoming increasingly annoyed by Ivy. To be honest I found most of the characters rather tiresome as the story continued. Will probably read the next book in the series just to see how the story ends but I certainly won't be expecting much.
