Publisher's summary

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast.

But Dina is...different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, ""normal"" is a bit of a stretch for Dina. And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night....

Feeling responsible for her neighbors, Dina decides to get involved. Before long, she has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive, ex-military, new neighbor, Sean Evans—an alpha-strain werewolf—and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she’s facing is unlike anything she’s ever encountered before. It’s smart, vicious, and lethal, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything.

Loved it!

This was so good. The story, the narrators, the sound effects, all of it. I was worried that the dramatic version would be like going to the movie after reading the book and being left disappointed. In those situations I am disappointed because movies tend to leave out important parts and / or change the story, this was not what this version did. For me it gave another way to experience a book I already loved. I hope Ilona Andrews do this with more of their books.

Thoroughly Entertaining

I have the original audio book, but the multiple reader cast caught my attention. It was every bit as good as the original, and added extra depth. I look forward to the rest of the series being re-recorded

One of My Favorite Book Series and Now Dramatized!

I love this book series. I have read and listened to them several times and looking forward to the next book. Now I am going to be listening again but to the dramatized versions. This first book dramatization was great, 👏. Can't wait to hear the others this way.

A new way to love Innkeeper

Graphic Audio brings the Innkeeper to life the way we wish movies would bring our favorite books to the screen but never really do. The book, of course, is superb if you have not read an Ilona Andrews book you are missing a joyful experience mixing hold your breath battles with romance, lively characters, and settings that are stunning to imagine.

Great Version.

One of my favorite author duo, so I have no problem purchasing a story I already have with a credit as I love the series in general and want to support the authors I want to continue to write. I loved the original recording with Renee Raudman as the narrator, so decided to give this version a go. I enjoyed it equally as much. There was some added background noise that was not in the book, that makes the book a bit more movie like as is their point in adding it. I think the background noise was good, but just need to lower the volume just a touch to make it great. The kiss part was almost comical, they shouldn’t have used the music they did. Overall production was great. I still love the book.

Unique but not for me

Unique storyline and amazing voice acting. I love the small comedy moments between Diana and Sean, but despite all of that, this book is not my cup of tea. It doesn’t grab my attention like other books. I might still push on like I have done for other books and I ended up loving them so much, for now, I’ll skip it.

I am obsessed with GraphicAudio products!

I read this book when it originally was released years ago. I’ve reread it many times. But this GraphicAudio production is fantastic! The multicast narration with so many great narrators really adds to the story. Highly recommend the whole series!!

Really enjoyed this adaptation. Great job! And of course, great story. This one has been one of my favorites since I first read it. Always appreciate a new experience while re reading a book.

Captivating and extremely immersive

Clean Sweep is the first book in the Innkeeper Chronicles series of fantasy mysteries by the New York Times Bestselling husband-and-wife writing team publishing their works under the Ilona Andrews pseudonym.

The story in Clean Sweep follows Dina Demille, a young woman, as she runs a relatively successful Victorian Bed and Breakfast establishment in an out-of-the-way and secluded small Texas town.

But she is much more than the eye can see. Her lodgings are perfectly suited for visitors from far away and some of them have all sorts of fantastic powers or abilities. Alas, her life and those of the clueless neighbors will be deeply affected by a series of gruesome murders and as a result of that, readers and listeners alike will be pulled into a captivating adventure filled with unthinkable danger, weird creatures, a little romance, and powerful magic.

The writing is fast, good, and vivid. The characters are memorable and the plot will keep you interested ’till the end of this exciting tale.

This is not your regular audiobook, this is a completely immersive listening experience expertly dramatized and adapted by the talented people at GraphicAudio. It features a full cast paired with a beautiful narration, it’s richly scored with cinematic music and underneath it all, you’ll find a complete soundscape of high-quality audio effects.

The narration is compelling, the voice acting is top-notch, and the music and all the natural sound effects make this dramatized adaptation feel like a movie in your mind, just like it was advertised.

I was pleasantly impressed by the writing, by the lively and colorful characters, by the enjoyable story and of course, by the high-quality audio production and I will gladly return to this series in the future.

If you love True Blood or The Dresden Files, you will most likely enjoy Clean Sweep a lot!

So much fun!

I loved this book in its full format, so when I saw a dramatised version I had to have it! I listened to most of it in one day, because it was so much fun I didn’t want to stop. The cast was great, it took me a bit to get used to the background music & noise, but once I did, it was so much fun!
It was the break from life I’ve been needing! I already preordered Sweep in Peace. I’ve read everything by Ilona Andrews and everything is gold, so I’m excited to go back to the “movie in my mind”!
