Publisher's Summary

An Atlan warlord in mating fever with two choices:

Be the latest bachelor beast on an Earth reality television show to find his perfect mate or face certain death in an Atlan prison. Braun’s not sure which is worse...until a female enters his hotel suite with towels and cleaning supplies.

She isn’t part of the television show. She isn’t available. She isn’t interested in mating with an alien. She isn’t his.

Try telling that to his beast, because one look at the maid and Braun knows he will do anything...anything, to claim her.

:)

Wrong place, wrong time... but it did get her a mate! Lucky woman! This was another page-turner by Grace Goodwin. Each book is just getting better! These are definitely going on my read-again shelf. Angela was a relatable character, and Braun was just to die for. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want an Atlan warlord or a Horde King from Zoey Draven. Decisions! I recommend reading both series and trying to pick a favorite. :)

Female narrator should not do male voices...

This was an fascinating storyline, different from the usual. I enjoyed it very much except for every time the female narrator attempted a male voice, which detracted from the overall presentation.

I don't know how I feel about the new narrators

The new narrators are different and not necessarily for the better. However, they were good narrators, just not as good as the ones that Grace Goodwin used previously.

The premise is a bit ridiculous, but whatever, it’s science fiction romance and I was pleased that Ms. Goodwin chose a working-class MC this time. However, any time someone upper class is mentioned, I can’t help but giggle, people with money would never use hotel shampoo and conditioner unless it was an emergency. But it’s interesting to see how the lower classes view people with money or what they themselves would do with money in a fancy hotel. And also how the heroines always have random ex. boyfirends showing up. This must be a thing that happens to some people. I have run into ex.s at parties and had to make polite conversation but that's it so I find this aspect of Grace Goodwin books fascinating.

As a romance novel, this was okay. I wasn’t sold on either of the main characters. Definitely not nearly as good as interstellar brides series. All the elements of a good romance were in this book, but somehow it didn't come together exactly right.

Ended quirky

It was entertaining and the narrators did a nice job. The only thing missing is the link to the next book.

Angela and Braun

This is another good book in the Beasts series. Braun finds his mate when Angela, the maid, comes in to clean his room. This happens before the bachelor show even gets started since the host was out sick. He knew immediately she was his mate. She runs way from him but ends up with him the next day. Unfortunately, misunderstandings keep them apart for a while. There is a horrible ex in the picture but he gets what is coming to him. Angela's family was great. Liam DiCosimo and Nicole Small did a very good job with the narration.

The performance is amazing

Both the narrators are amazing and makes the characters real. Nicole Small makes her chapters come alive. I love this performance.

Had to turn it off

The poor & unrealistic representation of the police and criminal justice systems just to add drama is a no go.

Enjoyable

a very run of the mill Alien Romance.
Good Naration. I like to listen to a light story while painting and this fit my purpose very well. I can't listen to anything that draws me in too deeply or challenging. Easy, Predictable yet feel good and entertaining.
I think I'll probably listen to a fair few from this series while working.

fabulous narration of the book

excellent differentiation of voices for the various characters from both narrators throughout the book, which really helped bring the book to life. this is the second book in this particular series and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. if possessive alpha aliens who know how to treat the females they fall for is your cup of tea, then you'll probably enjoy any of Ms Goodwin books, I know I am.

Best book yet in this series

This story has a lot of drama but has you hanging on the edge of your seat to see what comes next. I absolutely love Brawn and Angela and her cat is adorable too.
