Publisher's summary

Damian Stephanos honed his skills in battles fought with magic as much as swords. Caught by a deadly spell that left him trapped for centuries in darkness and obscurity, he is finally freed, only to discover that his enemy still lives. Determined to find him - and to free his brothers in arms - he first must fulfill his blood debt to the woman who released him from his torment. Unfortunately, being so close to this enticing female is another type of torment altogether....

Cassandra "Casey" Lewis is a hunter. Possessing the rare ability to sense magic, she spends most of her time shadowing arcane collectors, and more often than not, stealing the dangerous artifacts she pursues. Her job is risky, especially when she's stealing from one of the most powerful sorcerers alive. But having a gorgeous warrior by her side is a definite bonus. He's great in a fight...and in other places, too.

Risking everything, including their hearts, they're about to discover that trusting each other might be the hardest thing of all.

Contains mature themes.

Really Enjoyed this one!

This was a very good story. I enjoyed Tor Thom’s naration. Not quite up to a full five star review but very close. I will look into the next big book in the series.

Hot and Steamy

There is nothing like finding yourself in a life or death situation to make you wish for some help. Luckily for Casey, her wish was answered when a statue came to life and saved the day. I will now spend the rest of time wishing for help on hunky statues whenever I see one. Damn! This book brings the heat. It is not for the faint of heart. The sex scenes are hot and heavy and plentiful, just like we want! Bonus, even though Damian is an ancient warrior he is free from much of the annoying machismo that ruins some of these characters. That doesn’t mean his and Casey’s relationship is smooth sailing, but at least he isn’t being a total alpha all the time.

🌻Come on ladies, remember safe sex?🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This series is my first experience with Tor Thom’s narration. He is a fine narrator, his only weakness is performing female voices. He has a beautiful bass voice that suits the male characters, in this series. If the author would have chosen a female and then elected to have a true duet production, it could have made a good series, great!

Otherwise, I have enjoyed the first two books. There is magic and mystery with Alpha-Male Hero’s and Alpha Female Heroines. (I love a strong female lead! There are also yummy intimate scenes!

Be aware that the violence can be descriptive and gruesome, but the Heroes are warriors , so that shouldn’t be a surprise.

The only thing that makes me cringe is that these modern day Heroines don’t seem to be concerned about safe sex. Especially, since the Heroes had over active sex lives, in their pasts. They may not have had AIDS, but they definitely had “the pox”, in that time period!

I recommend this book…1-28-2021

I love the storyline of this series! The lead female Casey reminds me of the female character, Sin from the Vampires in America series. She is strong but now above accepting that she needs help! It is good to get more of Nicks story. I am excited to read or hear in this case the next book in the series KATO!
Narration:
Tor Thom has an amazing voice and a fantastic ability to voice both male and female in a way that enhances the story.
Bravo to author D.B. Reynolds and Narrator Tor Thom!

D.B. Reynolds never disappoints

Another really great story, worth every minute and credit. My first pre oder, because D.B. Reynolds alway delivers. If you like strong women, strong men and an exiting chase + hunt, this is your book (and the others from her).
Tor Thom did a good job. Five stars all around!

Stone Warriors

This was a great book. But it would have been nice to see them in the first to the third. I read all three and it looks to me that there should be at least one more. Good job.

I wish there was a female to do the female voice

the story was excellent, the narrator voice for the male character is everything you could ask for, however when he had to voice the female character I had to grit my teeth and bare it

Wonderful and delicious.

Loved listening to Tor in this genre. Perfect for his voice (delicious voice!). D. B. Reynolds, new to me author, spins a wonderful taste. Great listen... with some spicy scenes. ;)

Romantic mixed feelings

I liked the story but I’m not too sure if I believe the romance. It seemed to me that all of the romantic angst is a little overblown. For example, there was one scene where they had an argument which caused Cassandra to have a melodramatic mental breakdown but to me just seemed like a lover’s spat. I was a little confused about all of the uproar. However, I can appreciate Cassandra‘s need to be able to trust.
