The names are correct, stop complaining.

Okay, the book is fabulous, and I can't wait for the next installment. But that's not why I'm writing this review.

Ilona Andrews specifically said, in BOLD, in their blog, "The names are pronounced the way they are supposed to have been pronounced all along. If you are going to complain about the names, your comment will be removed."

So. Quit blaming the narrator for something she is doing correctly. Yes, of course, I loved Renee Raudman, and yes, it's jarring to hear a different narrator, but - TOO BAD. Move on. It's basically slander to accuse Suzanne Elise Freeman of doing something wrong, when the author says - explicitly - that she did it correctly.

good story

everything was good. only complaint is that the reader probably should have heard one of the previous books. some pronunciation changes, but maybe can be corrected for next book

Why change

Ok first let me just say I’m a Seriously big fan of the Kate Daniels series ❤️❤️❤️ One of the best I’ve listened to. So when I say this I say it with much Love! What the freaking hell!!! The narrator is so off and the names have not been pronounced correctly throughout the entire book! It makes me just want to read the damn thing! Love the story but if your a fan you will feel lost with this story due to the back and forth 😢😢😢😢

I have been waiting for this story. I hope next one doesn't take to long to come out. this story was just as awesome as I thought it would be.

I LOVE the new narrator

I adore the Kate Danielle series and all of its spinoffs, but the previous narrator constantly made me cringe, to the point where I couldn't even finish the first book. I never begrudged it though, just read the books instead.

It's perfectly logical to have a new voice for the new view point, and this narrator does a lovely, dry, understated version that I thoroughly appreciated. I would buy every other audiobook in the series if she ever happened to narrate the previous books * hint hint nudge nudge*

Next book please!

I can not wait for the next "Julie" book! I truly love Ilona Andrews' work.

Loved it

I have waited a long time to see what would happen between Julie and Derrick. I hope the Andrews know what a pleasure it is to see these series that encompass friends and family. The intricate details of training and sincere belief in the new Shinar comes out clearly throughout the book. I read the book and immensely enjoyed the audio book also.

I love anything Kate Daniel's, but....

Okay, I was so excited that Ilona Andrews decided to continue the Kate Daniel's series through Julie and Derek. If your a fan of the series then this won't disappoint, however the narrator should be shot! it's refreshing to have all the familiar characters however this narrator literally says 2/3 of their names wrong. A prime example is Barabus, she pronouns his name Bare-abus versus Bar-rab-bus which threw me at first becuase I thought it was a new person. This happened alot with several other essential characters and don't get me started on how she pronouned hyena wares, I corrected her everytime she said it wrong so much my husband laughed at me. I feel like so much of Kate Daniel's was narratored by same narrator for a new person to do it, do your research and say the names right. It's those details that distract from the story.

Another great story

As always this writing pair leaves is waiting longingly for the next book in series. Everything they write is magic.

Good story annoying narrator

if you have listened to other stories in the series you will be annoyed that the pronunciation of several characters names have been changed. this one discordant element jars every time the name is spoken. when you narrate for an established title PLEASE do your homework and respect what came before
