Publisher's summary

As an Olympic rookie, Andie Foster has spent far more time in her cleats than between the sheets. For 21 years, her Friday nights have consisted of blocking shots rather than taking them. But now that she's landed in Rio, she's ready to see for herself if the rumors about the Olympic Village are true: The athletes are all sex-crazed maniacs....

The committee passes out condoms like candy....

The games continue long after the medals have been handed out. As Andie walks the line between rumor and reality, she's forced into the path of Frederick Archibald, a decorated Olympic swimmer and owner of a sexy British accent - too bad he's unavailable in a way that "it's complicated" doesn't even begin to explain. It doesn't matter that he has abs that could bring peace to the Middle East; Andie fully intends on keeping her focus on the soccer field. But everywhere Andie goes, Freddie happens to be there-shirtless, wet from the pool, and determined to show her a whole new meaning of the phrase "international affairs".

Contains mature themes.

Love this Story

I fell in love with this book when I initially read it following its release. With the recent release of Georgie's story, A Place in the Sun, I wanted to revisit my favorite olympians and did so via audiobook. I still love this story. Overall, I think the narrators did a fine job. I was slightly annoyed by the long pauses that Amanda Dolan occasionally would interject into her narrative which didn't seem to fit the flow of the story- whether is was an editing snafu or not I don't know.

Crazy Betrothed

I really enjoyed Andie and Freddy's story. I get that she was young and inexperienced in relationships, but there is no way I would have gotten involved with a guy who was 'betrothed' without telling him to get his house in order and then call me. But that's just me. LOVED LOVED LOVED Freddy's sister Georgie. She was a total and complete hoot.

The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because it got a little slow in the middle for me. I found myself skimming things until it got to the place that Freddy's crazy betrothed, Caroline and his sister Georgie arrived.

I'm also not the biggest fan of the male narrator. I find his voice a little off-putting. Takes me out of the story a bit. I've heard him before and I kinda groaned when I realized it was him. But not enough for me not to continue with the series.

Not my favorite

RS Grey is usually one of my favorite authors, but I struggled to finish this. I think it was more due to the narrators than the story itself. I didn't like either. Their narration distracted from the storyline. I ended up getting the Kindle version so I wouldn't have to hear their voices and only listened while I was in the car.

fun but some parts just make me roll my eyes lol

the male and female characters are a bit too childish and act like teenager,it a bit annoying sometimes. I love a lot of her books but this book is just not my favorite.

Light, swoony fun!

I love sports romance more than anything, so after finding myself in a bit of a slump, I decided to give this book a whirl and it absolutely did not disappoint. It’s full of the sort of smart humor and sparky chemistry that I love. There’s a bonafide villain and sweetly rewarding friendships and - best of all - a romance that absolutely reads like a fairytale.

I loved it! The narration was great, the story was just what I was looking for and I shed some happy tears in the end. Definitely worth the listen!

MOVIE WORTHY!

This book has a little bit of everything which makes it totally enjoyable. The audible presentation was exceptional and equally enjoyable.

Amazing story, great narration

I loved the narrators for this story. I absolutely love this whole series but I have to say it’s a shame “Scoring Wilder” isn’t the first in the series or a prequel to the series. A person is truly missing out when they haven’t read that book. Yes, this book can be read as a stand- alone but it’s a shame to not read “Scoring Wilder” first. “Scoring Wilder” is Kinsley and Liam story also you get minor characters Becca and Penn who also fall in love within the story. Reading it helps you understand Becca, Kinsley, and Liam actions in this book. Now to review this book. I loved Andie and Archibald. Their first meet was adorable and funny as the story progresses and their love grows it just gives you all the feels. If you have read “Scoring Wilder” and thought the evil Tara was bad you will be shocked and appalled by the so called Villain in this story. I loved the minor character of Georgie and sometimes thought she stole the show. She truly should get her own love story. I loved being immersed in all the Olympics and rooting for Andy, Kinsley, Becca and the whole team. I also loved at reading Kinsley story that I got a little glimpse back into their world while enjoy Andie and Archibald love story.

My Favorite RS Grey story

This is probably my favorite RS Grey story and that's saying something because I really love all of her stories. I read this book years ago and it's just as good as I remembered. I love the sports-action. I love how well-loved characters from this author's previous books play significant roles in this story and I really love the new characters, Andi, Archibald and Georgie. Georgie is absolutely fabulous and I'm so glad she gets her own story in "A Place in the Sun". Amanda Dolan's narration is brilliant and worth 5 or more stars. Shaun Grindell's performance, however, brought the overall performance down. He sounds like a 50+ year old and completely annoying. Definitely not the right voice for the character of Archibald. I recommend this book to all fans of RS Grey and others looking for a new author to enjoy.
