Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate. For good reason. His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal. His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance. Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.

Annoying female lead
I would be lying calling myself an avid fan of R.S. Grey, but I’ve enjoyed the books they put out and thought they were very good. But this one just really missed the mark with both leads, especially the female one. She was supposed to be this strong independent woman who’s at the top of her career, and the whole time she was a flighty, annoying, overthinking drama queen, the male lead I have less complaints, mostly because he’s about as simple a romance character you can get, with an extra dose of controlling ‘problem solving’. Honestly I very much recommend the authors other works.

Amazing as Always
As always, R.S. Grey wrote a book that let a smile on my face the entire time. With each new book she releases I decide that it’s my new favorite, and Doctor Dearest was no different. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing each of the characters to life. This is a wonderful book and anyone who loves romance and comedy, will definitely enjoy this book!

Only five stars for the narrators
Oh! My! Gosh! In the words of Chandler Bing from “Friends”, “Could Natalie BE more annoying?” She drove me crazy! In fact, so crazy that I almost didn’t finish listening to this audiobook. For someone who had a crush on a man for years, she sure treated Connor like crap. Her fickleness was irritating that I’m sure “in real life”, a man would have walked away a long time ago.
I did love Connor! He is probably what most girls dream of in a man. I mean, who doesn’t want a successful surgeon who has a kind heart for his sick patients? He’s patient and treats Natalie with respect despite however she treats him.
I also love the best friend/brother, Noah. I usually laugh a lot at R.S. Grey’s, but the only time I laughed was when Noah found out that Connor and Natalie were together.
The narrators are the only ones who get five stars.
