Publisher's Summary

In this heart-warming romance from New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts, can frontiersman Jake Redman capture the heart of a woman unaccustomed to the wild landscape he loves?

Half Apache and all man, Jake Redman was more than a match for the wild Arizona Territory. Sarah Conway, on the other hand, was an Eastern lady who belonged anywhere else but on the rugged land Jake loved. But beneath Sarah's ladylike demeanor beat the heart of a true pioneer, a woman he yearned to make his own.

Most Intriguing Book

This novel by Nora Roberts is the best one I have read so far. One is so wanting to know what happens next, that it is hard to put the book down. A must read for everyone!

My second Nora book and I'm not disappointed.

Yes I enjoyed this story. THis was my second Nora book. It had everything I wanted. It had that old west historical romance thing i wanted. I wish these books were easier to find in audio. The heroine was naive but not stupid. The narrator Todd Haberkorn had Jack sounding like CLint Eastwood. It was kinda humerous.

I thought this was a good read.

Nora Roberts is a hit and miss for me. Most of her books are on the light side for my taste. This one kept my attention, and I give the credit to Mr. Todd Haberkorn, this is my first time listening to him and I will be looking for more books narrated by this man. The story was your regular western type romance.

Enjoyable

Good storyline kept my interest throughout but the end was abrupt. Would like a sequel. Narrator was very good .

Love It.

This is my fave Nora Roberts book. Listening to it was so great. I always thought this book was similar to Cat Ballou. Jake really sounds like Clint Eastwood! so great.

Easy listen for a lazy summer weekend

What did you love best about Lawless?

The reader did an exceptional job and his different character's voices were just superb! The story was predictable and contrived and has been told the same way many times before, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Nora does a great job of painting the scenery and making the environment a key element of the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The title of the book is "Lawless-Loving Jack" but the main character's name is Jake. Huge mistake.

What does Todd Haberkorn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love his voice for Jake. It is like a young Clint Eastwood

Any additional comments?

I am not sure if this was an older book of Ms Robert's that was re-released, but I wish she had more new novels for the summer. Love her style, both as Nora Roberts and JD Robb

Best of All!

We love this writer. This book is so different than most of Nora's books, that my wife and I questioned a western.
This is one of the best books we have listened to in years.

Lawless

This is a beautifully written love story by Nora Roberts ( not a surprise there as she writes them so well) and narrated brilliantly by Todd Haberkorn.
I was enthralled from start to finish, so much so I listened to the entire book in one sitting. Highly recommended. Thank you x

If you could sum up Lawless in three words, what would they be?

A really good story and beautifully read. This added to the enjoyment of the story. A good reader is so important. I have rejected some books because of the poor or irritating performance of the reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but happy to read it in instalments.

Any additional comments?

Some readers have no emotion in their voice and some read as if they are in a sprint race and a few have a tone of voice which unfortunately is really irritating to the ear. The reader of this book was excellent: it was beautifully read. I can see this story made into a film.
