Sweet Story

Short listen but made you feel good. Predictably a romance novel, with likable characters. Worth reading.

Nora Roberts remains the Queen!

Starts a bit slow but makes up for it as the story continues. A very EASY listen.

Disappointing

I'm a huge Nora Robert's fan but this wasn't one of her finest. Didn't care for the Narration either.

Good series send-off

Nora Roberts’ writing usually gives me pleasure and there are often elements that “speak to me”; I found that with this first in her series, “The O ‘Hurleys: Abby raises Morgan horses, enjoys the various tasks of that, including the mucking out of the stalls, finds soul satisfaction in the communion with the horses, their silken coats, their distinctive scents & deep gazes. There’s nothing quite like this connection and satisfaction and Nora Roberts knows how to describe it.
I enjoyed the other characters in this first of the series and when done, previewed the following three, deciding to skip over the next two and go directly to number 4; I’m not sorry I chose to do so. Number four nicely summed up all I cared about and “Trace” was a really interesting character.
Each of the four books in this series is only a bit over seven hours listening time and, at either nearly $18 or at the cost of one credit, that’s not much content per dollar.

Good in areas

This was a nice story and I look forward to hearing/reading the next in the series. Like the twists and turns and the love and support shown in this story.

Characters are a bit too stereotypical for this author to use

The Hollywood star with the snobbery voice. The father which seemed more like an old James Cagney movie. The female lead learned so much about taking care of self and family, but never learned about manipulators and basic day-to-day interactions w people? Te hero was perfect, almost, especially craving for her while she has the flu?’ I just feel like she slapped out this story quic for the money. Lacking in-depth characters that make me enjoy her stories.
