Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author, CD Reiss, comes an all new, sexy tale of secrets, intrigue, betrayal, and a love worth crossing a continent for.

Taylor Harden is a man on the edge.

The edge of fame. The edge of untold wealth.

The edge of utter humiliation.

He built an unhackable system, and in front of everyone, it gets hacked.

His reputation goes from king to goat in a split second. Boom. Like that.

Some dude in Barrington, USA (AKA Nowhere) has locked down Taylor's code, and if he does not get it back, he is going to be wearing a monkey suit for the rest of his life.

Except, this guy? This hacker from Nowhere? He is not a guy.

Harper Watson is all woman. And she has a plan for Taylor, his code, and his body.

    "Hated This One"

While Christian Fox is a really good narrator, I was shocked after reading the good reviews how much I hated this book. I tried, but couldn’t finish it. Good luck with this one.

    "Technologically Sexy"

Loved the suspense and drama. Also loved idea of girl power in big time IT world. Very sexy story. Never knew code cracking romance would be such a fun read. Great writing and great narration. Way to go!

    "The Code runs deep"

Wow is the simplest word to use to explain the expression on my face but this book is so much more. CD Reiss has done it again. And Christian Fox...whoa. Brilliant narration. Romance has never been so complex and thrilling to listen to. The story folds you in at word "one" all the way to the last period. CD raises the bar with EACH book and this book will be hard to top. Looking forward to what is ahead. BTW...pay close attention to the sounds starting each chapter...it is a code in itself. You'll have to listen to find out.

    "Awesome story "

Enjoyed from beginning to end. Narrator was great. The musical tones at the beginning of chapters were different. Had me listening to those closely. I’m figuring they were code as well. Clever. Looking forward to the next book.

"not a fan of the cello playing between chapters"

struggled to finish this not cause the story was bad but the production of it was terrible. interrupting the flow of the story with cello music... I didn't get why it needed the music and for me made it hard to keep listening.

    "Good start to interesting series"

This is a good story with enough interesting characters to start a series. I liked this book, I liked the town, the characters and the story. But I wasn’t as emotionally involved with the main characters as with some other books, so it wasn't overly emotional for me. I think this may have been due to the reason for the abrupt jump into the romance part. But I like the angle of a dying small town very much and how they struggle to survive. I will listen to it again. I am also going to listen to next book since I think the Keaton character has enormous potential.

The reader was excellent. Male and female voices both very good and the characters were distinguishable. The few accents were well done.

As a nerd I have to comment to reader/producer – ASCII is not pronounced A-S-C-two – it’s pronounced ass-key lol.

    "Not my thing?"

I don’t know what it was about this book but I didn’t like anything about it. There was absolutely no chemistry between the characters and the main premise seemed far fetched. I found myself literally rolling my eyes whenever they started getting intimate. If I hadn’t paid for this audible I probably would have stopped listening around chapter 5. Christopher Fox usually does it for me, but even he couldn’t salvage the story. Maybe hacking and code and abandoned, sad towns aren’t my kink?

"Sadly this was a let down"

I wanted this to be a great book. So much so that I did not have the patience to wait to catch it on sale. This book did not captivate me... did not transport me into another world. It didn’t offer me the escapism I truly wanted. I could not understand why the lack of connection. I did not feel for either character. The characters felt hallow. Now, I sadly was no fan of the sound effects. It was very distracting and the echoing just was a big no for me. Christian fox is fantastic all on his own I felt the sound effects were unnecessary and didn’t add to it, it just distracted from the story.

    "Holy Hell, What a ride!"

I am a lover of all things written by CD Reiss and this book just may be at the top of my list of favorites! I absolutely LOVED the narrator, Christian Fox. I am a complete narrator snob, sorry not sorry, and he was just added to my 1-Click narrators! I'm always leary of books with one narrator doing both men and women voices. It's hard to pull off. So needless to say, I was pleasantly pleased. The story-line was unique and the characters so thoroughly complex that I could not stop listening. There was just enough suspense to keep me on my toes and wanting more. I highly recommend this audio and I can't wait for the next book!

    "Slow. Tedious and Boring"

The blurb is exciting and interesting however the reality is utterly disappointing. I have listened for hours and now at halfway through the narrative, I have decided to give up.

The story is boring, appears disjointed and wholly unbelievable. I'm impressed that I got through the chapter where he arrives at the small town and stumbled through the motions of searching out the hacker... because it is almost mind numbing - curiosity probably.

I'm returning this one. This is the first time that I'm reading anything by this author. It may be my last.

    "Outstanding!!!"

This fantastic story is brilliantly brought to life by Christian Fox. A complex and intiguing story in which our hero learns the joy of becoming human, through being challenged in his casual mysoginy by the brilliant Harper, remains necessary listening throughout. Christian Fox's narration is a masterpiece.
