I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

Meh

I really wanted to like this book as I had some of the others by the author but I didn’t. Sebastien was too much of a push over. Rachel’s self esteem was not high. I can’t stand a weak female.

At the heart of it all is love

This was perfect for my mood. The sweet, uncomplicated romance. Well, not so uncomplicated but sweet and romantic nonetheless. He’s adored her from afar in his “dweeb”like manner whiles been his champion against the bullies. Friends. Adulthood has reversed the roles and added layers of confusion. At the heart of it all is love. Love of family. Love of career. And love for the one that makes you complete, that makes you a better you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators and Brian Pallino has a very nice voice.

Sweet with a Bit of Hotness

I love CD Reiss stories! This story is a bit different from some of her past work. It’s a friends to lovers and fake engagement story. There is a twist that makes this slow burn spicy in all the right ways. Andi Arndt is great as the screen writer, Rachel. It’s my first audio by Brian Pallino, and I love his deep silky voice as Sebastian.

Sweet friends to lovers romance

A sweet friends-to-lovers romance that had me rooting for Sebastian and Rachel. A heartfelt storyline that was realistic and well written. I enjoyed this book and the narration was well done.

Really Good!

I really enjoyed this one. This was super sweet and romantic and great! Especially for anyone who had a childhood best friend of the opposite sex! The characters were likable and the story entertaining.

Fun and Sweet BFFs to Lovers Romance

I’m a big fan of CD Reiss and will jump on anything she writes. She can pen dark/touching stories, fun/light stories and they are all sexy. Only Ever You was on the lighter side of her romances, about two friends from school who fell out of touch after high school.

Sebastian was a skinny, geeky guy in school with a huge crush on his best friend Rachel. She was always taking up for him when the bullies bothered him. They did everything together. Then they went their separate ways to go to college. They both came home for different holidays and breaks, always missing each other but their families keep them in the loop with news of the other one.

After nearly fourteen years apart, Racheal and Sebastian came home for the same Christmas. Sebastian made sure of it. They were both thirty and they had made a pack in high school if neither of them was married by thirty they would get married. Their parents found out about it and assumed they were getting together to start their engagement.

Since Sebastian has been in love with Rachel since they were kids, he was all for it, but Rachel thought it was a funny joke. Until she found chemo medication bottle in her parents’ trash. She was afraid her mom’s cancer was back and thought she was pushing her to be “settled” before she died from cancer. This worry pushes Rachel into asking Sebastian for the huge favor of faking their engagement to make her mom happy. They figured once her mom went through treatment and was better they would call off the engagement.

Of course, they had to make it look good and started “dating”. One thing led to another and they started to really date. There were a family drama and half-truths but by the end of Only Ever You Rachel and Sebastian got their long-awaited HEA that everyone in their lives saw coming but them.

Only Ever You is told through changing POVs with Andi Arndt narrating Rachel and Brian Pallino narrating Sebastian. I’ve enjoyed many titles narrated by Andi Arndt. She does quality performances and is on my shortlist of narrators who will draw me to a title no matter who the author is. She does a great job bring Rachel to life and her deliverance is always the right mix of pacing and emotion. Brian Pallino is a fairly new narrator for me. His voice sounded familiar so I looked him up and I have heard him before. Now I can say I will actively seek out his narration work. He did an amazing job narrating Sebastian’s POV.

I always root for the good guy!

I’m so glad I picked this book up. I binged it listening all day at work. I loved the narrators and I loved Sebbie. I love a story about a good guy. A guy that is so in love with the girl that he fights for her, and doesn’t give up. Sebastian was a nerd who grew up and was gorgeous and successful now, but he never forgot the girl he loved. I loved him. This was a great light read that gave the feels.

This book left me with such a smile on my face.
When two friends make a pact to marry each other if they find themselves 30 and single they never really thought it would happen. Well, Sebastian had hope it might happen and now fate has given him the chance he needs.
