Publisher's Summary

Fisher,

I guess this is it, huh? After 14 years together, starting a life of our own on this island, five deployments, and countless letters I've written you through it all, I finally go out to the mailbox and see something I've always dreamed of: an envelope with your handwriting on it. For one moment, I actually thought you'd changed your mind, that all the awful things you said to me were just your way of coping after everything you'd been through. I was still here, Fisher. I was still here, holding my breath, waiting for you to come back even though you told me you never would. You always said you'd find your way back to me. Out of all the lies you've told me, this one hurts the most. Enclosed you will find the signed divorce papers, as requested. I hope you find what you're looking for. I'm sorry it wasn't me.

Lucy

To get the ending they want, Lucy and Fisher will have to go back to the beginning. Through the good and the bad, they'll be reminded of why they always made their way back to each other, and why this time, one way or another, it will be the last time.

Absolutely loved every minute. I ended up listening to this book in one sitting. Story was very well written, and Zachery Webber and Andi Arndt, did an amazing job yet again with the narration. I highly recommend this book.

"This is not a drill- the author, narrators, and story are a "listen to me now"!!"

Seriously guys- this journey, narrated by the wonderful Andi Arndt and smoldering Zachary Webber, should not be passed upon. I'm so very, very glad I took a shot on this book even though I wasn't loving the cover and the blurb didn't exactly reach out to me. It was absolutely fantastic. The journey of Fisher and Lucy was heart wrenching and heart warming. It was sweet, it was harsh, -ugh- just everything!!! I am doing a re-listen already but wish I could experience it for the first time again.
Please be advised that Fisher does experience flashbacks from his time in the service as a PTSD victim, but I do not foresee any stressors for anyone. There is no violence against the heroine.

    "Brilliant writing and narration!"

Wow, this poignant second chance romance was so beautifully emotional and sexy! It also included some perfectly place levity, which I so needed at times! This tale was expertly crafted, moving sinuously between present and past scenes that kept me completely captivated from start to finish. I was also fascinated when the same scene was told from different characters pov and how two people can remember the same event so differently. I admired how Ms Sivec portrayed a difficult subject with honesty and empathy and how she made me appreciate what our soldiers and their families go through. I really cared for both Lucy and Fisher and loved how they evolved and grew from the high school sweethearts to the adults they are now. Both narrators skillfully brought the story and characters to life making me feel like I was there with them on the island. I was totally lost in the realism of their storytelling. I loved every minute of this book and can't recommend it highly enough!

    "AMAZING"

I first read this book when it was released. When I saw that it was coming to audio, and that Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt were doing the narration, I couldn't wait for an audio reread. They surpassed my already high expectations.

Fisher's Light addresses emotional topics such as PTSD and the relationship struggles after someone returns from war. Both narrators nailed the emotion while telling the story. You don't feel like you're being read to; you can put yourself into that moment, that scene. And while that's a main focus of the story, there is so much more story built around it.

    Definitely deserves all the stars!

    "A beautiful story!!!"

It was the most perfect story! The plot is very interesting. The problem is, it was 2 hours longer than it should. The story could have been over by then, but it dragged a bit. But this is definitely worth the credit! Really really romantic and engaging!

    "WOW"

I found this book by looking up books narrated by Andi & Zachary. This book made me laugh, cry, hurt and even gave me chill bumps. I know this will be one of those books I can listen to over and over. I don’t like books that flip back in time. But it work wonderful with this book. I can’t say enough about this book I’ve never heard of this author but I’ll be checking out more of her books.

"I’m in love with this love story!"

I don’t usually write reviews, but I just had to with this book. I was so incredibly moved by this story.

I’m a veteran who deployed to Iraq, so this hit close to home. I too suffer from PTSD, but not to the extreme of the character (Fisher) in this book. I felt so connected to this story, not only because of the military connection but also because of the wonderful characters. To be honest, I was very hesitant about listening to this book. Not because I was worried it would be bad, but because of the PTSD issues with the character. I’m so glad I decided to take the chance. It did make me cry like a baby though!

The story of Lucy and Fisher is very well written. I loved the development of all the characters in this book. There was a lot of jumping around from the past to the present time, but it wasn’t confusing or hard to keep up with. The author did an amazing job telling this story.

I will recommend this book to all my other book nerd friends!

Also, the narrators of this book are amazing! I’ve listened to a bunch of books now where they’re the narrators, and just love the way they portray the characters in any book they narrate. I now find myself looking for books specifically narrated by them. In fact, that’s how I found this book! :)

Loved the story line....nice reminder of what type of sacrifices our armed service men, women and families make for our country ...PTS
Is a real illness and for many soldiers that return from war. It not only impacts the individual suffering with the condition but also impacts loved ones and community. Nice love story...and who can resist a love story that takes place in a small coastal community.....Narrator ‘s were awesome....what is there not to love about Andi Arendt and Zachary Webber....both have sexy voices, easy to listen to and always deliver.
I recommend this to any reader that enjoys a good romance with some realistic drama to the story.
