Great Acquisition

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It was exciting and had a great story between two strong individuals. Lauren and Antonio are both very smart CEOs in competing companies. What a unique story. Lauren is a typical, strong business woman and CEO of a company. Her dedication has stifled the growth of her personal life. Antonio is just the person to help her out. The narrators did an excellent job with this story and the accents. Their presentation of the characters added to this book.

Very Hot

Acquisition was a very fun read. I am surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The enemies to lovers aspect was a lot of fun because of the fact that Lauren slept with Antonio before learning he is the man trying to take over her company. It has a great push and pull dynamic to their relationship because Lauren worked so hard for her company and it has a lot of sentimental value to her and the fact the man she can't stop wanting wants to take it from her puts her in a big dilemma. I love how much she can't deny Antonio because the man is hot and very sexy. The sex scenes were so hot and I couldn't get enough of them together.

The other thing I really liked was that this book had a bit of science in it. It made Lauren's company more interesting to me. That ending was something I was not expecting at all. It took me by complete surprise. The narrators were pretty good. I think Brian Pallino did a nice accent for Antonio. I really liked listening to his voice. Natasha Soudek was ok.

Acquisition was fun and sexy. I liked the chemistry between Lauren and Antonio a lot and I can't wait for them to get to know each other even more as they fight over Lauren's company.

Couple of points...

This book/series has been out for awhile but here's my humble opinion. I agree with a couple of the reviewers that the female narrator may not have been a good fit. Her Italian accent was more Russian. LOL She's good....just not for this one. Should have been more Brian chapters. Actually, I'm not sure why the hero had to be Italian at all but he is. Anyway, I think part of the problem was the author took such a long time to set it up. Didn't have a good "grab and pull the reader in" at the beginning of the book. Like other reviewers, I had a hard time with the heroine's slightly whiny, indecisive, pouty, stomp your foot like a 4 yr old behavior....not to mention the ridiculous giggly teenager conversations with her best friend---certainly not how a CEO would behave.

There's one thing that I don't like that this author does that distracts me......she'll "wander aimlessly". Example, H/H are in a kiss and the heroine is thinking .... and thinking.....and thinking. Makes you forget they were kissing in the first place. Or a question will be asked and before the heroine answers, she's thinking....and thinking....and thinking.....and when she replies, you've forgotten the question. Just wondering why.

A sizzling hot page turner

OMG! Chelle Bliss is the mistress of hot stories that you can't put down. Lauren and Antonio burn up the pages. A one night stand that will blow your mind when they realize they are each other's arch business rival. Natasha Soudek is a shining star as Lauren and Brian Pallino as the voice of Antonio will melt you where you sit! This ends in a cliffy but is more than worth the anticipation of the following book.

Good start to the story ..but..

Love Brian P. But am not impressed with Nataaha.. Almost could not listen to her but the story was good.. I may have to just read the next parts ..:( I do love the way Brian does the accents.. ?? My Dilemma
