Publisher's Summary

Taryn Warner is a wolf shifter with extraordinary healing skills - and serious problems. First, her father is determined that she mate for life with a wolf shifter named Roscoe Weston, whom the feisty Taryn can’t stand. To make matters worse, she’s also been kidnapped by Trey Coleman, a dangerous alpha male from another pack. And as much as she wants to resist Trey, Taryn is incredibly, maddeningly attracted to him. When he makes her a tempting proposal that will benefit both of them, the strong-willed healer has to decide whether escaping an unwelcomed bond with Roscoe is worth the risks of mating with Trey, no matter how temporary their allegiance is intended to be.

I should read book descriptions more attentively. I went by star rating...oh, big mistake. I feel like my IQ went down after listening to this "masterpiece".

    "Redundant writing"
What did you like best about Feral Sins? What did you like least?

This book drew me in at times and had me bored at other times. The story itself isn't bad. Maybe it needed better editing? I get that this is a werewolf story. They are dominant. That word is used over and over and over in the book. I get it. They are dominant. But as a writer you should SHOW me instead of telling me over and over and over. And the sex scenes… so many of them… seriously, too many. They were redundant. The writer used the same words over and over and over again. See how annoying that gets? I finished the book but won’t be listening the next ones in the series.

    "The Worst Shifter Story"

Basically a predictable xxx story with shifters who were nymphomaniacs. I do not appreciate paying good money for a story I had figured out in a few short chapters. Could have done without the borderline abusive creepy sex. The plot, characters and basic shifter customs were a disappointment.

    "Misogynistic pornographic smut"

It was pulling teeth to finish this garbage book. It was nothing but a 10 hour shitty porno with no worthy storyline. I wish I had counted how many times the author said "cock" it was probably in the hundreds. Don't waste your time if you're looking for a good read or a fun story, this book is neither of those. Worst book I've ever finished, hands down.

"I could not identify with heroine."

Normally I like a very strong willed and dominant female. I just couldn't fall in love or even like this one. I found her hard to swallow as she was so abrasive. Her famous "one.liners" made her seem unitelligent and shallow.

    "Not much plot."

The story is essentially there to link sex scenes. The narrator did a good job on a less than perfect book, although if she said "baby" one more time I thought I would scream.

"WORST BOOK I'VE EVER READ! BEYOND PORNOGRAPHIC!"

If I could give this book a minus star I would! It was beyond pornographic! Violent sex, rape, anal sex, sex with animals, bondage, oh and adult men strutting around nude in front of young girls. Along with animals 'mounting' each other for sex like it was the biggest turn on ever. I felt like my brain needed to be bleached after reading even part of this book. There was no real story line because the author couldn't fit in a story inbetween the sex scenes. At least 2-3 per chapter. And the chapters were short! I am not a prude. I love good romance novels but this was disgusting!! AND neither Amazon or Audible put any kind of warning about this kind of content. I called Audible honestly and thoroughly furious that this kind of pornography could have been purchased by a child. This is my opinion, but this so called author is sick!!

    "A great story!"

Taryn is a healer which is a gift of the shifters, but because her shifting remains dormant or latent she has always been an outcast among her people. Her father wants an alliance with another pack and has agreed to her being forced to mate with Roscoe. Another shifter, Trey offers her a way out of the alliance by instead faking a true mate bond, the only problem with this is she's terribly attracted to the Alpha male and he is also inexplicably drawn to her. The story has a well written comical and smart a** attitude written as Taryn's basic nature. The story is full of steamy dominant controlled sexual encounters, a twist of knowing who to trust and page turning threats. I highly recommend reading this tale and I loved it. I can't wait to read book two in the series.

    "Great "New" Series"

Very glad I discovered this series. The drama, humour and suspense in this tale makes it a very engaging story. Suzanne Wright makess the entire family of characters memorable not just the primary protagonists. Highly recommend this because the narrator is awesome. She has an incredible range truly brought every character vividly to life. Jill Redfield is truly amazing. I am looking forward to finding more stories she's narrated as soon as I finish this series.

    "Brilliant Story"
Would you listen to Feral Sins again? Why?

I will listen to this book again - good mixture of strong story, humour and a hot scenes.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Taryan - strong lady - can kick butt, quick witted with a heart and a strong scene of right and wrong

What about Jill Redfield’s performance did you like?

Loved it - good character voices which don't change making it easy to tell who is speaking.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Loved the interactions between Taryn and Greta. Taryn's come-backs are wonderful - made me laugh out loud which really made my husband turn and look at me.

    Story
    "Okay, but a bit predictable"
What did you like best about Feral Sins? What did you like least?

    Strong characters and plausible banter.

Dropped right into an undeveloped fictional world where there are an awful lot of weres living openly alongside humans, in their own society. Would their females (presumably educated in the modern USA) really allow themselves to be passed around as if they were chattels? The female lead certainly doesn't seem like someone to tolerate it, so why should the other women?

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I thought too much of the plot was given away early and, for me anyway, it dragged. And it was a disappointingly predictable plot.

What three words best describe Jill Redfield’s voice?

    Warm, emotive, lively

Was Feral Sins worth the listening time?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Disappointed, sounded far more promising than it turned out to be.

Would you consider the audio edition of Feral Sins to be better than the print version?

a very good listen although extremely graphic language, I have enjoyed the quirkiness of that author

Who was your favorite character and why?

the main characters Tray & Terin, are very sexually graphic so if that offends you this is not the set of books for you other wise a very good listen a definite hint of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray with a lot of fun in between

Would you listen to Feral Sins again? Why?

I have listened to this book more than once. I love the story and the narrator is one of the best I have ever heard she brings joy to the humour and is equally good at any emotion the narrative requires.

What did you like best about this story?

The author's writing style is fresh and just appealed to me on every level. I laughed and still do laugh at the humour but the humour does not detract from the main storyline. I highly recommend any of this author's books.

    "50 Shades with Wolves!!"

This is my first book that i have listened to from Susan Wright and will not be the last. i love the main female character Taryn Warner. she has some great lines. and the banter between her and Greta fantastic. the main male character Trey Coleman can be seen as very protective of Taryn, which she finds hard as she is a very strong willed person. there are some very steamy between the two of them. i enjoyed the narrator i found it easy to tell who was talking. i am just going to buy the next book as soon as i finish this review can't wait!!

"Brilliant introduction to the Phoenix Pack!!"
What made the experience of listening to Feral Sins the most enjoyable?

The suspense and humour portrayed by the strong female character, Taryn.

What did you like best about this story?

The humour between Taryn and other packmates. Jill builds up characters so well, it's great getting to know them

Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, this was my first one by Jill

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Quickfire wit and a fair bit of sass

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend this series strictly for adults as there is a fair bit of rompy pompy and phwooooaarr! it is really good stuff!! Let alone the characters you get to know - awesome start to a great series.....
(I have since listened to all the books in this series and was gutted when I finished the last one, I miss my daily dose of the Phoenix Pack and hope Jill manages to come up with some more books asap)

    "great story"

This is one of my favourite books. It is well written and has a great storyline. There id humour as well as excitement. The plot twists and turns giving little surprises here and there. I have both the written book as well as the audible copy and it has to be said it is one of my comfort reads. The two main characters are both strong and work well together. It is great start to a great series.
