Publisher's summary

The first book in a sensational New Adult trilogy from Noelle August. Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up.

Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They're sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret. Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well, one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post-hookup taxi to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.

What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they're now competitors for only one job at the end of summer. As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other? Or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?

Cute Feel-Good Love Story!!!

This was my first book by Noelle August and I thought it was a very funny, and cute love story between Ethan and Mia. They were the perfect couple with some competition thrown into the story which made it even more interesting to listen to. I kept laughing at the dates they had to endure for their internship that my husband kept looking at me like I was crazy. I would recommend this if you like to read fun-loving romance stories. it's worth the credit. Only suggestion I have is there could've been a lot more smexy love scenes between Ethan & Mia. You knew the chemistry was there it just wasn't played up more in terms of the sex between the two. I will be getting the next book in the Boomerang series and can't wait to see what is next.

Cute story; just wanted more

What made the experience of listening to Boomerang the most enjoyable?

The narration. Both narrators matched NA perfectly.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

it was okay; typical NA ending.

What about Amanda Wallace and Andrew Eiden ’s performance did you like?

they sounded the ages of the characters. you'd be surprised how old narrators sound portraying 21 yr olds.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Any additional comments?

Loved the narration, the story started out awesome but was just nothing different toward the middle and end. it was really tame, especially if you prefer explicit sex(i do) but it was cute.

Interesting Simultaneous Growth Story

This is a very well written feel good story. The whole idea is that Mia and Ethan have a one-night stand but wind working together, each an intern at Boomerang -- a dating service. There is only one permanent position though. The story is about all of the various blockages and obstacles, not so much about the conflict between the two. I like that August did a reasonable job developing the characters the main characters. She came up a little short in developing the supporting players if she intends to build on them in following works. This is nothing that cannot be overcome.

The narrators Wallace and Eiden do a solid good job. The novel is written alternating chapter perspective. This is becoming more common these days and each chapter opens with a question, more like a riddle.

If you are looking for a sultry novel, this is not it. It's packed with eccentricities and subtle humor. I reiterate, feel good. I recommend it as a read and I will read the next one in the series.
