Publisher's Summary

You were my first love. I hope you'll be my last love, too.

Alex Halford's rock star husband, Glenn, steals away in the middle of the night, leaving her with their two boys, a mountain of debt, and one person to turn to - his lifelong friend and bandmate, David Callahan. David helps Alex pick up the pieces of her shattered life, happy to have any time with the woman he's loved for 17 years. Every moment with her is ripe with opportunity, and every last idea running through his mind would destroy his brotherly bond with Glenn.

Out from under Glenn's thumb, Alex can see the person she was before marriage, finding feelings for David she thought she'd left behind in high school. A single kiss and the floodgates open, giving her new hopes of happiness. But when David and Glenn's band has a chance to be back on top, David must convince Glenn to return. With every passing day, success comes closer, Glenn's ego inflates, and David and Alex find it more difficult to hide. One misstep and the secret comes out, forcing David to choose between his life's work and the woman he doesn't want to leave behind.

Hiding in the Spotlight is a standalone contemporary romance with no cliffhanger. A super-sexy rock star hero who's been keeping his hands off the heroine for 17 years makes for a book intended for adults who enjoy reading steamy, fully-realized sex scenes.

COULD OF BEEN GREAT, NAARRATIOIN DESTROYED IT!

This actually could of been a great book, but the narration just destroyed the whole story line. It took everything I had to finish the book .

Drags out.....

I'm not sure if I can finish this. Just when I think it's getting good, it turns into a whine-fest.
The narrator is slow and drags things out even more, even speeding up the narration to 1.5.

Basically they cheated (married to womanizing, self centered best friend, but still married). Then thre narcissistic husband finds out and it turns even whiner.

A few good points, but not enough.

So Romantic

I loved the story line, especially finding out what the reporter actually reported, so many times in life the reporters do whatever it takes to make it look all wrong. If this was made into a movie I would differently watch it.

Well written love story

I loved the two main characters finding love after so many years. The story dragged a little, but I still couldn’t put it down.

Emotional story

A book which is full of angst. Alex and David's story is a very complex one . You feel there emotional turmoil especially with this amazing narrator telling Thier story including all the sniffles and sighs.

Good story line

Good story line however it was hard to listen to the narrator as she was a bit monotone and it was hard to distinguish characters and who was saying what. Didn’t quite finish the book.
