Publisher's summary

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Meagan Brandy comes an all-new stand-alone romance set in college about a hotshot pitcher and the girl he never saw coming.

You know how in college there’s that one guy everyone wants to be?

That’s me.

I’m the top dog.

The number one.

The big man on campus.

Some say those things are solid wins.

My new tutor would disagree.

My title means nothing to her.

My status lost on her.

And now my mind? That sucker is stuck on her.

She was told to make our sessions priority over all, to drop everything when I need her, and come to me. She does.

But I don’t want to steal her time anymore.

I want to earn it.

If anyone can do that, it’s me.

I’m Tobias Cruz, the king of the curveball. I don’t lose.

Not the game, and surely not the girl.

Little did I know, this girl has herself a secret…and it’s the dirtiest curve yet.

This story stole a piece of my heart

I read a lot…like a lot, a lot! I’ve read many great books…but this one ranked up there with the best of the best. I love a sports romance but I was not expecting the sheer emotion this story pulled from me. I devoured this book from start to finish. Perfect blend of angst, intrigue, romance, steam and feeling. A few of the scenes just slayed me…oh Tobias…my heart broke for him and mended with him. And Meyer…she was smart, strong and determined. I was so happy for her to finally get the HEA she deserved. Excellent narration. Do I recommend? A thousand times, yes!!

Dirty Curve

Dirty Curve is a new standalone featuring Tobias and Meyer. This book is told from dual points of view.

Tobias is the popular baseball pitcher at their school. He is having trouble with some of his grades and Meyer is the sports tutor. Tobias is cocky at first and demands Meyer to show up when he wants. Meyer has something else going on in her life, and Tobias doesn't realize it.

Once Tobias gets to know Meyer he realizes not everything is as it seems. They start to have feelings for each other but she has secrets.

What happens when he finds out these secrets? Can Meyer and Tobias get their happily ever after or will the secret tear them apart for good?

I loved this book and devoured every minute of it. When the secrets were revealed I was shocked. It was not what I was expecting!

Powerful performances set this college sports romance apart.

Tobias at first seems like the typical cocky athlete. Armed with a lethal curveball and a smirk that keeps the girls swooning, he’s a step away from the big leagues. But he needs help to get his grades on track so he can reach his life’s destination.

Meyer has a reputation as the best student tutor on campus. The baseball coach has assigned her to the baseball team and Tobias in particular for reasons yet to be revealed. She’s in a tricky situation and the coach is happy to use it to his advantage.

The more time they spend together, the more Meyer realizes that Tobias’s cocky bravado hides long-held insecurities and self doubt. The attraction starts out fun and flirty but soon the stakes are raised.

This story took quite a few twists and turns, which was a nice surprise. Sometimes sports romances can be a little too formulaic, but I was drawn into this story from the start and it held my attention throughout.

Lee Samuels is at the top of my list of favorite narrators and he pulls off the challenge of making our arrogant and hot-headed hero sympathetic even when he exercises terrible judgement. I loved how he could go from cocky to vulnerable so seamlessly.

Savannah Peachwood is excellent as well. Meyer has a lot on her plate. She is rightfully hesitant to get emotionally involved with Tobias considering all she has to lose. Her character is strong and fiercely independent and I enjoyed seeing her tackle the situation she was put in.

This is my first Meagan Brady title and I am already looking forward to more. This book had just what I look for in romance: flirty banter, a hero to swoon over, a heroine who is no ones doormat, and plenty of drama.

Great read

I love love love Meagan Brandy books! Every time I read one, it makes me want to reread all her other books. Needless to say Dirty Curve was amazing and the narration was spot on. I’m pretty good at anticipating plot twists but this one definitely surprised me. This audiobook is worth multiple credits and/or every dollar paid.

Freakin Meaghan … just take all my money

Meaghan’s writing is chicken soup for my soul. I always cry, I always laugh, I always swoon. I really loved this story. I also love that her stories are not just the spice of a relationship, there is real substance to the plot lines.

Without getting spoiler-y I loved the twists this plot took in a couple of spots. A curve ball, if you will. 😉

Narration was excellent.

Dirty Curve

Holy…. Wow. I don’t normally say a book is a top read for me in a year, but I’m pretty sure this one is going to make me. I had heard a lot of good things about this book and for once it lived up to those. Meyer and Tobias ripped my heart apart then put it back together again. Meyer is a tutor with a ton of secrets, and Tobias is the hotshot pitcher who everyone thinks they know. I don’t want to give anything away because every part of this book was just amazing. If this is what all of Meagan Brandy’s books are like, sign me up.

I SIMP for good narrators...

the book can be about a trashcan, as long as the voices reading about it are amazing I'll at least finish it!!! so the narration alone took me in!!!
some of the reviews that I read downright hated this book, which I guess is everybody's own opinion however I loved it.... were there some things that I thought could have been a little bit better absolutely. But who am I someone who never wrote a book to sit here and talk about somebody because their book was not 100% perfect?! I think you will enjoy this book if you decide to listen to that... I know for a fact you'll love the narrators because... CHEF'S KISS!!! they're that good!!
