Publisher's summary

Dr. M. Scott Peck has inspired millions by combining the deepest insights of psychiatry with those of religion. In this second of a three volume audio series based on his best-selling book People of the Lie, Dr. Peck once again integrates religious teaching with the science of psychology as he offers hope for healing one of society's most persistent failings: human evil.

In this second volume, Dr. Peck uses real-life examples to demonstrate how we can be dramatically affected by the presence of evil in our relationships and provides insight on how we can overcome it.

Told in Dr. Peck's warm and accessible style, People of the Lie, Volume 2 continues his groundbreaking and compelling exploration of the essence of evil, and enhances our ability to understand and to cope with this age-old problem.

Life Changing

If you could sum up People of the Lie, Volume 2 in three words, what would they be?

shocking, enlightening, empowering

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

Peck's ability to define Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder so effectively. I recognized my mother and, after four decades, was able to start down the road of recovery.

Any additional comments?

Recommended for those who, like myself, always felt 'crazy' and constantly in turmoil and honestly couldn't figure out why. My mother has MNDP and her abuse will always resonate. But without Peck's book, I would've gone to my grave thinking it was all my fault.

Exceptional work by M. Scott Peck

This book is a necessary read especially for psychology students and professionals.
Peck explains personality disorders using the language of the layman, yet with shades of Jungian interpretation.
He weaves his accounts of patients with threads of spirituality so necessary for healing. All of his books are invaluable.
