Not really an audiobook

This is not really an audiobook. It’s the splicing together of a couple of lectures along with a narrator/acolyte who comes in to frame things. It’s also very dated (a lot of Cold War stuff) and very Christian.

Emptying Out!

Wisdom abounds! Great news! Delaying gratification. What is love in action? A Different Drummer. Self-love versus self-esteem. My divorce was beneficial!

Good, but not his best.

Where does The Different Drum rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Lacks the grab your attention factor of the other Scott Peck books. This one is kind of a dud.

The process to community building

I like the combination of speaking and interviewing in the recording instead of just reading.

A Different Sound

While this does not sound anything like most of the audiobooks I’ve listened to before, it was still enjoyable. I was grateful that the concepts were communicated in a short time. Although it would have been better if the verbal fillers and hesitations weren’t there.
