Publisher's Summary

The post-apocalyptic world isn't that bad.

Sure, there are mutants. But, for the people of New Hope, daily life isn't so much a struggle of finding food or medicine as it is trying to find a new shortstop for their kickball team. This makes it difficult for a post-apocalyptic warrior to find work. Thankfully, an army full of killers is making its way to the peaceful town and plans to raze it to the ground. Only a fully trained post-apocalyptic nomadic warrior can stop them.

Two have offered their services. One is invited to help. The other is sent to roam the wasteland. Did the townspeople make the right decision? Will they be saved? Did they find a shortstop? What's with all the bears?

Find out in Post-Apocalyptic Nomadic Warriors, a fast-paced action adventure novel set in a horrific future that doesn't take itself too seriously.

It's the end of the world as you've never known it.

Even a Mushroom Cloud Has a Silver Lining

So - you're probably here because you saw an ad of Facebook or something about this book being being the end of the world -only funny... And that is true.

But aside from just being funny - it's a great story! I absolutely loved this book. And Phil Thron's narration is absolutely spot-on and perfect for this. He brought life to these characters and made me want to keep listening until it was done! Now I want the rest of these books on audible too! (I commute a LOT)

You won't regret this purchase. At all. It's being added to my list of "books I will instantly recommend to everyone".

A creative story

This is an entertaining read first you start with a standard Sci-Fi premise add a good amount
of humor throw in a group of strange characters mix in a good Narrator and you have a fun Audio Book

In a short span of time you will enter a different world.

Laugh out loud funny

I loved this book! Didn’t want it to end. Talented narrator and great character development. Believable apocalyptic world that manages not to be depressing. I don’t want to give away too much but there are surprises with regard to the characters’ motivation. Excellent listen.

Hard to follow

The voice acting is great. The writing is not well suited for an audiobook. There are lots of jump cuts (context switches) that just don't work. If this was a movie it would work great.

The idea is good... but this feels like a movie script not an audiobook.

What a fun look at the Apocalyps

I loved this book! it was not only fun but told a compelling story. the few twist were fun and not eye rolling even when poking fun at the tropes of the Post apocalyptic style. if you like some light humor in your end of the world check it out

A Messy Apocalypse

This is a fairly zombie-free post apocalypse. They do sort of make an appearance, but don't figure into the story much. There are a lot of other critters, mutants, cars and monsters. The variety of characters and sprawling story telling was a bit disjointed as it seemed there was too much going on. I had a hard time both following the story and caring a lot about the many characters.
The archetype theme seemed to fall flat. It wasn't strong enough to make it really work. Either go all in on it or stay away.
The book was well narrated by Phil Thron and the multiple characters were handled well.
I was given this free audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Just don't.

Not a single metaphor or simile. There's no depth, no immersion. A child in the fifth grade may enjoy this.

disappointed

I feel rather meh about the story. I'd been waiting for it to hit audible for months. almost feel duped for the excellent cover and blurb. There are 2 main characters and several 1 dimensional chars that could be better developed. The narration doesnt really help as it's very bland with no excitement really. 80% build up to the story and no creativity to the ending. Just a very big let down.

Mad Max meets Sean of the Dead, a highly enjoyable

If you like Post Apocalyptic tales with a comic matter of fact twist then this story is for you, I found it highly entertaining and very well read by the narrator, who it has to be said was once more fantastic.

Give it a go, pretty sure you'll become a Post Apocalyptic Nomadic Warrior given half the chance.

Welcome to Dallas. Must have Cash.

Mr.Wallace is fast becoming one of this reader's favourite authors. His ideas are quirky, his characters colourful and his sense of humour is superb. Not for him the doom and gloom of most post apocalyptic world writings. Instead, 'Even a mushroom cloud has a silver lining." Not overly profound, perhaps, but very enjoyable.
Narrator Phil Thron was also excellent, his pleasant to hear voice fitting naturally into the overall tone of the novel with good intonation, pacing and emotionally vocal presentation. Even the different protagonists are distinctly and individually voice. A good performance combining with an enjoyable tale.
My thanks to the rights holder of Post-Apocalyptic Nomadic Warriors who, at my request, freely gifted me a complimentary copy, via Audiobook Boom. For sometimes laugh out loud humour, surprising scenarios, colourful character cameos and a generally enjoyable story of trust and survival, a reader can't go wrong with this book.

An excellent Post-Apocalyptic adventure

As the title says it's a great adventure as Wallace portrays a very realistic world of Mutants, landscapes, scavengers and with a great dry sense of humour as we see all those typical corny mad max type characters come to life with his own brand of humour.
I loved the story and Thron does a good job with Jerry and others so well worth the credit. Jerry is one of the best characters we come across in this new world and it's great to see him on Audio and after this then i will definitely be revisiting his next book om audio.
I requested this audio and have left my thoughts on this for you to peruse.

plenty of twists and turns and some high speed action mixed with a real romance story and a happy ending. What more could you want?
