About this listen

Greed, terrorism, and simple bad luck conspire to bring mankind to its knees as a viral infection spreads out of control, reducing those infected to undead horrors that feed upon the rest.

It's a time of misery and death for most, however there are some who are lucky, some who are ruthless, and some who are just too damned tough to go down without a fight. This is their story.

What listeners say about The Apocalypse Boxed Set Novels 1-3

Highly rated for:

The Story In This Audiobook Series Follows A Group Of Survivors Navigating A Zombie Apocalypse. While Many Found The Overall Narrative Gripping And The Characters Compelling, There Were Criticisms About Certain Characters Being Unlikable Or Portrayed In An Unrealistic, Stereotypical Manner. The Books Explore Themes Of Survival, Human Nature Under Extreme Circumstances, As Well As Issues Of Racism, Prejudice, And Morality. Some Felt The Dialogue And Certain Plot Points Were Gratuitous Or Inconsistent, But Others Appreciated The Author's Attempt At A More Realistic Depiction Of An Apocalyptic World, Despite Its Flaws.

I enjoyed this

I was introduced to this story line when I listened to Generation Z . I thought it was a story of its own universe , which it can be , but to find the origin of Jilliebean is pretty cool . Plan on listening to rest of the books for sure .
For hard-core zombie fans the books may be average but for the average listener these aren't your garden variety Zombie books though comparable to the ALL DEAD collection ( which is my personal favorite Zombie collection) .

Borderline

This book just kept me there until the end. What I liked about the book was the zombies, they was not the major threat in many cases and did not have super human (zombie) powers that many of the book portray then as. Stephen King once said that when writing a book he tried to scare people, if he didn't think he was doing that then he went for the "Gross Out". This was a low average book, if you have nothing else it is OK.

I was very surprised to say the least…

The twists and turns through out, keeping such a gripping outlook on the worst of characters. Simply portraying just how bad, bad can be, and the overcoming hardships of the ever pressing want to maintain what good and hope anyone could have left. It had me hanging on by a thread during extreme moments of loss and tragedy. I will continue this series and cannot wait to see what you have in store for the culmination of this ever more exciting story. Thank you.

optional headline

Book two and three being about grand rescues is getting old. The books are starting to get repetitive with little character development.

Loved It

The narrator did a great job. I was a little different than the usual zombie story. The character Jilly-Bean made the story.

dont get me wrong, i love these books, but...

for some reason, in the third book of this box set, there is a random chapter from book 2(a complete 30 minutes, just skil over the entire chapter of audible 104) that is from Ram's POV, from when he is taken hostage by the blacks. It does not belong there at ALL, i am curious if this was just a production error for this box set, or if the writer put that chapter in on purpose? is the third book when purchased individually still like that?
it literally does nothing but get our hopes up, and despite the great story of the 3rd book, my mind is still having problems with chapter 104 even being there. its kind of hard to get past.

Best book in the last few hundred, maybe ever!

I was not overly impressed in the beginning but soon became more engrossed than I have ever been before. This series of books is amazing and I found myself rooting for the heros and despising the villains. I would compare this to The Walking Dead in a lot of ways with a really good story line.

Overall enjoyable

A bit of a stretch in regards to the realistic probability of a virus and all that. The reader’s ability to switch voices on a split second was impressive. Overall, still enjoyable.
