Publisher's summary

A genderbent retelling of the classic fairytale Peter and Wendy....

Neverland is in trouble.

An evil mage who can shape-shift into a gigantic crocodile has stolen the Neverland Clock and broken the spell upon it so that time has returned to Neverland. As a consequence the girl who never grew up - did. Petra Pan, now a young woman, travels to London, England, in search of a knight worthy enough to be able to pull the only weapon capable of defeating the Aztec god Tezcatlipoca from the stone - Excalibur.

Petra along with her loyal male fairy companion, Tinker, encounters a fencing champion named Eirwen Darling, who after committing a heroic deed, appears to be the perfect knight, and one whom Petra falls in love with at first sight. She kidnaps Eirwen and his two younger sisters, and takes them to the dying mystical island of Neverland.

Afterwards, Eirwen struggles with not only his budding feelings for the beautiful and surprisingly well-endowed Petra Pan, but also his doubts about being Neverland’s foretold knight and would-be King. Will Eirwen be able to find his ‘happy thought’ and learn how to fly in order to gain an extra edge in battle before it’s too late?

An interesting story!

Petra Pan is a genderbent story of the classic Peter Pan, adult version (not for children). However, the story is definitely different than the original fairytale but contains just enough of a resemblance that you cannot mentally compare the two. The characters are interesting and likable and the storyline is entertaining.

I Can't Get Enough!!

I absolutely LOVE these genderbent fairytales! They are so unique and wonderful. Each one is a joy to listen to but NOT for children! KuroKoneko Kamen gives an adult twist to these classic tales and it's done so very well! I have listened to all that is out and can't wait for another...hopefully there are more to come. This time we have Petra Pan and it has all the elements of the classic story but with unique twists and turns. You never know just how exactly it will end and what new material will be added. The mix of quite a few other tales intermingled is seamlessly done. The fresh creativity of Ms Kamen is so refreshing and addicting. I have listened to each of the genderbent fairytales in a single sitting because I couldn't stand to pause any longer than to take a bathroom break! They are that good! The narration by LA Johnson (who narrates each one) is superbly done. Each character has their own voice and emotions. The story truly comes alive and totally sucks you in until the last word. An excellent collaboration and I hope it continues.

Adult Peter Pan

This book is Peter Pan reinvented as Petra Pan. I really didn't know how I would enjoy a genderbent twist on one of my favorite childhood stories of all time... I have to say that I love it. There were several turns that I didn't expect in the book. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to more of these "bent" fairytales by this author! It was amazing!

My favorite twist on Peter Pan to date!

This new twist on Peter Pan was so fun to listen to! I love the action and backstory! Every character came to life in their new and unique ways! I cant wait to hear more genderbent fairytales! The new storyline with the genderbent twist is clever and fun! KuroKoneko keeps the tale of peter pan alive but gives it a fresh new twist (and in my opinion) more substance. KuroKoneko along with the help of L.A. Johnson took one of my favorite childhood books to a new and fantastic (not to mention steamy) level! I loved every second!!

Kamen at her Finest!

Petra Pan was like a breath of fresh air. I found myself smiling and laughing out loud frequently while listening to it. I kept comparing the story of Peter Pan to all the characters that appeared in Petra Pan, and the parallels were absolutely delightful. Kudos to the author!

The narrator, L. A. Johnson did a great job, and even did accents!

I will add that Petra Pan is definitely more adult than the Peter Pan story, fyi :-)

If you are looking for something unique, and out of the box, grab this one up!

What an interesting take on my favorite fairy tale. I liked the twists, the gender bents and love magic and all the characters author created in this captivating story. Petra and captain Cook rock, major girl power. Narrator did a good job telling the story. I enjoyed listening to Petra Pan tale and cannot wait to listen to more books by this author. Highly recommend it.
