Publisher's summary

A parody of fantasy isekai (alternate world) anime/manga stories...

Gamaken Kuronuma is an ordinary Japanese high school student whose life takes an extraordinary turn when he ends up getting hit by a truck. Due to his noble deed in saving the life of his classmate, Gama is reincarnated in the sword-and-sorcery world Enchancia where fairytale characters are real.

Reborn as a baby, Gama discovers he’s the newborn prince of Mithlond Kingdom and decides his life is finally looking up. However, a prophecy that foretells the Goblin King’s death at the hands of King Brandr’s son provokes the monster into trying to kill Gama.

Thanks to the protection of the Blue Fairy, Gama manages to barely escape the assassination attempt with his life. The Goblin King is only able to curse Gama by turning him into a frog. The only way to break the curse is for Gama to get a princess to fall in love with him and bestow upon him true love’s kiss.

It’s in that moment Gama realizes he’s been reincarnated as the Frog Prince. After being forced to flee his home, Gama enters the nearby Forest of Gloom where he soon discovers he possesses magic and abilities that are eerily similar to a video game’s. Suddenly, Gama’s nerdy knowledge of anime, video games, dating sim games, and gal games comes in handy as he faces off against the most dangerous and deadly monsters in all the land.

With the help of his trusty stat window, er, fairy attendant, Henry, Gama does his best to get stronger by killing monsters and leveling up. Eventually, Gama gains enough power where it’s safe enough for him to leave the forest, and he encounters a princess. Unfortunately, things don’t exactly go as planned and Gama ends up with a half-broken curse.

By day, Gama is a handsome prince, albeit with green skin. At sunset he transforms into a slimy, green frog. Gama sets out on a quest to kill the Goblin King in order to break his curse. Accompanying him on this journey is the cursed princess Odette, who turns into a swan at night and is a bird-beaked woman by day. Odette’s maid, Meddie, has been cursed with snakes for hair, but Gama thinks they’re cute.

Later, bunny priestess Usagi, who has been cursed with insatiable lust joins their party. The cure to her curse happens to be passionate kisses from Gama. All of a sudden, Gama begins to wonder when he accidentally began to form a harem of beautiful and otherworldly ladies....

It’s very interesting

I’ve never read another author who wrote books like this. A book that’s twisted to something I’ve not expect. It’s a little slow at the beginning but it picks up and I ended enjoying the book. Can’t wait for the next one.

Another great fairytale

This is another retelling of a old story in the authors connected stories. Done very well but doesn't require you to have read all the others. A few references to anime and just a great story

Reincarnated as the Frog Prince

This is a fun and engaging listen. This is a big kids fairytale. Gamaken finds himself reincarnated in a wonderous world full of incredible characters. His journey takes him on a quest that will test his inner strength and smarts. Along the way he meets a cast of special characters. Each one is dealing with their own misfortunes. As they travel on their journey Gamaken and his friends must find their way. They will each find their friendships grow and tested. It was nice to see the way each of the characters grow and bond with one another. We get to see just what true friendship and belief in each other can do. The author weaves a wonderful tale with interesting characters in this magical world. Narrator Chris Boykin does a good job of bringing these characters to life. I was quickly immersed in their adventure and was glad to be along for the ride.

A fairytale with more to the story

An absolutely stunning listen. The story and characters are all well thought and fleshed out. There is constant growth and evolution for our main character, but also challenges to keep him more humble
