Publisher's Summary

Not all heroes go to heaven.

Terrence Mack was born poor, grew up tough, and died hard. Waking up in a sea cave with nothing but the clothes on his back and a new bullet scar was enough to convince him that wherever his death had brought him, it wasn't paradise.

His new world quickly proves to be a place of danger, magic, monsters, and - for Terry at least - women.

Known on Celestine as a template, Terry's genes are key to the survival of the eldritch races. But the fiercely competitive eldritch don't typically leave their lovers alive long, and aren't accustomed to taking 'no' for an answer.

The average life expectancy of a template on Celestine? Three days.

A city boy with no survival skills to speak of, Terry sets out in a desperate bid to gather allies. With the help of a lonely dryad, a mixed-up minotress, and a misguided party of dungeon delvers, he must be brave, cunning, and good with the ladies to have any hope of living through the month.

All the while an ancient evil bent on the destruction of Celestine exists in the north, and templates are the key to its southern expansion....

So happy to see this on Audible!!

I can't describe how elated I was to see this available as an Audible.

In a review sense for the author, the story is well paced and highly enjoyable. The characters had also been well written and had a life all of their own. I will be looking forward to adding the next instead to my ever growing library.

Now for the Narrator, I so hope you continue narrating this series. Great job and I look forward to hearing other series you've narrated.

Great story with a great narrator

Terry is a deeply scared man who will sacrifice anything to help his family and loved ones. Unlike most harem stories each character possess fears and goals and feel real. Tess Irondale was just icing on top of a very suculent cake.
Hoping we get the other books

Cebelius knocks it out of the park

I got to say I loved this book before the audiobook came out. The book had everything I wanted in a story. The MC isn’t over whiny or heroic and he seems more relatable then most other MCs. When I found out that the book that I liked now has Tess Irondale as the narrator.... just blew my mind. I definitely recommend this book to all sci fantasy, harem, and Tess Irondale fans. I can’t wait for the next audio book.

Somethings are worth being shot in the head

🡺🡺 Warning: Explicit sexual content, violence, furry erotica (you were warned) NC-17+ 🡸🡸

Celestine is the after life every furry hopes exist. A beautiful world home to every race from dragons to minotaurs. The world commands a wonderful diverse biosphere, ranging from lush forests to bare deserts and even dungeons stocked with game for adventurers. Never the less evil abounds in the realm and nothing less than a truly epic quest will provide any hope of salvation. Here humans are rare and enjoy unique abilities in the form of unusual reproductive abilities.

Cebelius has an unusual distinction as an author in that he has his own author landing at https://www.furaffinity.net/user/cebelius/ In a text format the book can be somewhat difficult to read because for the way thoughts in the charters minds are transcribed. However, in audio format the addition of voices makes the story much easier to follow and flows naturally. The erotic portions of the novel are well written and convey real emotion and intimacy. Cebelius also does a wonderful job of balancing the story keeping the action and the romance building and nuanced while never feeling like a slog or a dungeon grind.

Tess Irondale has a voice made of sin, lust, and pixie dust. Once again she delivers a stunning performance. All her charter voices are consistent and feel well rounded. Without question Tess was a stellar choice of narrator for the chronicle and it should be desperately hoped we will see her narrating for the entirety of the series.

🡺Note: At the time of this review book one is available on audible (I admit I enjoyed it so much I went and read the second book and can't wait to listen to it). And thank you for taking the time to read my review.

fun - you will have a hard time putting it down

Whisked away to another world where women will get super powers if they sleep with you. What could go wrong? Hijinks ensue in an entertaining manner.

Is this the best book ever written?

No, but it is fun and if you have bothered to read this review you will enjoy it. Worth a credit or the purchase price. (also it is well narrated)
