A way to look at all areas of your life and pare down. Make more room for yourself and feel gratitude when you experience less. It covers people and things. This is mainly geared towards a mom and wife because that's the author's world and she writes greatly about those examples. Really pleasant narration.

A fresh perspective
Really liked the listen. Realizing that the minimalist way is not black and white, but all shades and that we all have human tendencies. A gear shift to minimalism as an act of higher level thinking and self awareness rather than just get rid of everything you don’t really need. A good book for those wanting to reduce stress in all aspects of life while accepting and truly enjoying what matters most to you.

Very informative
I felt like I was given most of the tools and information to begin a minimalist lifestyle. There were several references to worksheets, but I don't recall a reference to a website to download them. If there was a website mentioned, it would have been helpful to remind the listener of the web address whenever she told us to write on a worksheet,as other audio books with written work required have done.

I listen to this while I was packing for inspiration. I live in the same home for eight years and it seemed I had become a borderline hoarder. This book is one I will keep in my library for reference. I read this while I was also reading “The Evolutionary Empath” byStephanie Red Feather. WOW!

Food for my soul
I loved every minute of this book. The author covers so much more than the physical clutter which gets to the root of why we bring too much stuff into our lives in the first place. Ready to make a change
I've read numerous books on the subject of minimalism. The best, are the ones that acknowledge the emotional aspect of "things". I enjoyed this book because it has you get to the bottom of why you want to change. You wouldn't be reading this type of book if you didn't know you needed to change. The why is most important because it is what will ultimately keep you staying the course you've set for yourself. I've been through a great amount of loss at a very young age. I know I shop to escape the painful feelings of my memories or anything that is emotionally taxing. I know I accumulate clutter because I am avoiding my feelings and physically manifesting my procrastination paralysis. I also know that I have two daughters who I want to be an example for, and a husband who had seen me through very dark days. I owe it to them to make a change for us all. This book gave me great insights on ways to get started in all aspects of ny life not just my closet. I would definitely recommend it.

Want to make changes in your life? Read this book!
I love this book so much I am actually writing a review. This is so much more than a book about getting rid of the stuff in your home. Its about truly focusing on what is important in your life. This truly is inspirational and has helped me to understand my core values. Which has in turn inspired me to evaluate what is adding value to my life. This book reaches into all facets of your life and with small choices over time this book can help improve your life. I have listened to this book twice. I know I will keep coming back to it to inspire me to keep on the path of a minimalist way. Not in the perfect instagramable minimalism I wish to achieve but in a way that is impactful to my family and I. The narrator of this book is also a pleasure to listen too which is saying something. For many audio books I won’t purchase them because the narrator is jut not for me even if the topic or book is one I would enjoy. Not the case with this book it’s a pleasure to listen to for the content and the narration.

Great listen while cleaning!
Other reviews have complained that there is no new information here, and although that is somewhat true, the book still has a ton of value. Even if you’ve already read or watched information on Minimalism, this book serves as a great refresher around the benefits of it. I also found it to be an invaluable tool for cleaning. While listening, I was VERY motivated to not just put away items, but consider whether I ever wanted to clean them up ever again. By the end of the book I had BOXES of items ready to donate!
