Publisher's summary

Maya has never had much to complain about. Sure, her parents are absent a lot, having important jobs in the government, but at the end of the day, she has all the material possessions a girl could want. Not to mention a great best friend and secure spot in the popular group at her school.

Yet she can never shake the feeling of displacement. Constantly searching for something that’s missing from her life.

Turns out Maya is part of something much bigger than her human existence, and after a mysterious stranger saves her from an ambush at a party, he brings her into his world.

And turns her world completely upside down.

Love this series

I love this series but I really didn’t care for this narrator. Maybe if she had started from the beginning. They need to keep the same narrator thru a series. Looking forward to the 4th book.

Voice Narration

Great story! Different narrator used from books 1&2. This narrator had to soft tone for Masculine personalities.

Narrator is so much better than...

the one reading the first two books. which makes it so much easier to listen. interesting if not predictable storyline but I like these characters and will finish this series.

Great series, disappointing change of narrator

I started the series because I love Vanessa Moyen as a narrator. She was entertaining as always in the first two books. Her delivery always gives me chuckles and keeps me entertained. She does a great job on male voices as well. The change in narration on book three was unexpected and disappointing. The story was good and Lauren does a fine job but without that same delivery it was lacking the audiobook lacked the prior level of entertainment.

storyline- yes, narrator- no

Using the previous narrator would have made this book much more enjoyable. The masculine voices just didn't do it for me as before. They all sounded the same to me.

Every book it is just as good as the first!

I loved the story and the reader did good she just wasn't very good at the male voices so those were kind of hard to listen too.

Pretty good

My big issue is the narrator change. So frustrating, but eventually I got use to it. Now, it’s waiting for the final book to become available on audible.

Struggled more with this one

Normally I chew her novels up like nothing. This one dragged for me and I finished it feeling like it was all mostly set up for the next one. Maybe it is lol. I will follow up after the next one!

New reader

I get why the author may have wanted to change the reader but honestly I much perfected the reader of the first 2 books. This new reader just didn’t have as diverse of voices which allowed a lot of the characters to all sound the same, especially the men. She did a good job, you could understand her but I’d really like the first reader to come back; she really brought the characters to life with their own voiced personalities. The story was just as amazing as all of the books so far. I love this series and I’ll be reading it again and again.
