Three angels - Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, the youngest and most human - are sent by Heaven to bring good to a world falling under the influence of darkness. They work hard to conceal their luminous glow, superhuman powers, and, most dangerous of all, their wings, all the while avoiding all human attachments.
Then Bethany meets Xavier Woods, and neither of them is able to resist the attraction between them. Gabriel and Ivy do everything in their power to intervene, but the bond between Xavier and Bethany seems too strong.
The angels’ mission is urgent, and dark forces are threatening. Will love ruin Bethany or save her?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes I would specially for teenagers , because the love story is so cute and I liked the way the story kept the relationship clean without the complication of physical attachmentWhat did you like best about this story?
well, I liked many aspects of the story .. specially the relation between her and Molly , though she loved Xavier she didn't sell her friend for anythingWhich character – as performed by Alexandra Adornetto – was your favorite?
Xavier and Gabriel were the best performed characters by the authorWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Xavier waited for Bethany in the cinema though she came very late .. I fell in love with him thereAny additional comments?
I was surprised when I saw all the bad reviews on this series and specially this book , I found it entertaining and good I didn't feel bored and the storyline kept me wanting for more .. thank you so muchSuprisingly good

For Audience A: older kids and young teens or moms looking for something their kids can read. This is a lovely story about an angel who falls in love with a boy... without falling. It's cute, and it's guarded enough that it touches on subjects like sex but doesn't show any. Not much fowl language - I'd definately give this to my 13 year old neice.
For Audience B: anyone over 16 looking for a Twilight substitue. This is Twilight with wings... even down to the glittery pale skin. The plot is simple and the characters are a bit shallow... their course is too easy. I find it hard to believe that an angel without free will can so easily ignore a mission and do things she shouldn't- like fall in love with a human. There should be consequences but there are none. It bothered me that one of the angels was the archangel Gabriel. Like he had nothing better to do than go live as a music teacher in a high school. If it were another angel I wouldn't have minded. I also find it hard to believe that angels land in an area and live undercover to watch humans... that ruins the concept of guardian angels who do just that. It also bothered me that they did nothing until the deus ex machina of an ending.
For both audiences, please be aware of the Christian aspect of this book. It's not preachy, but prayers and talks about God do happen. Personally I think current authors trying to pull off a story about angels and keeping religion out of it seem a bit foolish, so this was okay with me. I know if I ran into an angel, fallen or not, I'd be pelting them with questions about Heaven, Hell, creation and everything.
The author read this herself. She did a good job, but I'd rather someone else do it unless the book is a biography.
