Quick and Effective Detox Program

At 24 minutes this is a short book, so necessarily the background information on the methodology and benefits of the diet are minimal. It is basically 25 green smoothie recipes. While some may prefer to have the recipes in print, as the multi-tasking queen, I prefer it in audio-book format. That way I was able to listen to it on the way to the grocery store, shop for ingredients and start the program right away. It is an effective program. I lost 5 lbs. in 5 days. I have been trying to permanently quit soda for many years. I quit for awhile and then start drinking it again because of cravings and caffeine withdrawal. During this detox I had neither cravings or headaches from caffeine withdrawal, and was able to stop soda painlessly. I feel great and have a lot more energy.
The narrator gives an excellent performance and makes it fun to listen to. I would appreciate more background information, but overall a good book. My favorite recipe from this week would be the Lettuce & Fruit and the Lettuce, Lime, and Strawberry smoothies. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Smoothies - easy and practical

5 Day Green Smoothie Detox Plan by Lucy Johnson, narrated by Caroline McLaughlin

This book contains 25 simple and tasty recipes for smoothies. Good to have if you are in detox plan or implementing healthy habits. Only 24 minutes, but quiet useful and practical. Lots of recommendations. Healthy food is important. Caroline McLaughlin as narrator sounds really pleasant. Good tempo, tone, and speed. Liked how she works.
Nice book about detox plan or healthy lifestyle ideas.

Green smoothie recipes

What made the experience of listening to 5 Day Green Smoothie Detox Plan the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed this audiobook and its many recipes! It was easy to listen to and its recipes were simple, tasty and clearly-stated. if there were ever an audiobook for which the "bookmark" feature of Audible made sense to use, it's this book! I suggest that you bookmark each recipe and name them accordingly, so when you want to make a particular smoothie- voilà!-it's there.

Easy, healthy smoothies with amazing properties

The intro caught my attention and was easy to relate to (and so true!). I always wondered about smoothies, especially green ones. The shops that sell them make them seem like a mystery, but this book is clear cut and concise. And why should I spend a fortune on green powders or prepared smoothies when I can make my own?!! Naturally occurring chlorophyll, found in many, if not all, of these smoothie recipes offers a boat-load of beneficial properties, i.e. removes heavy metal from blood, helps prevent cancer, provides iron to organs and improves anemic conditions, improves energy levels and gives you a boost without crashing afterward, and so much more! These are delicious EASY recipes that anyone can make... all you need is a good blender or nutrient extractor to mix it all together and you're good to go. I need to get a hard copy of this book as well... it will be a regular go-to, for sure!

Lots of Healthy, Yummy Green Smoothies

"5 Day Green Smoothie Detox" was chock full of terrific recipes for making healthy green smoothies using fresh green veggies along with fruits and herbs to cleanse your body of daily toxins. This works. You can't go wrong with this audiobook. Also, these are easy to make.

Along with these terrific recipes, this audiobook also explains what these foods contain such as chlorophyll from plants which is good for the blood, the liver, and other organs as well as numerous other benefits. I'm anemic, lacking in iron and while I try to stay on a healthy diet, I lose important nutrients that these smoothies can make up for.

Caroline Miller did a great job reading this audiobook. She spoke clearly and made the recipes easy to understand. She had an upbeat positiveness in her voice that let me know that I can do this. Just an overall wonderful job. Thank you ladies.

interesting and am definitely going to try
