Great Read
Fury: Unleashed (The Scorned Series Book Two) was a great read by R.E. Sargent. Stephanie's life changed drastically when she stumbled upon a mysterious portal that allows her to travel to the past to save lives. She is on a trip to save victims of a serial killer, when something evil hitches a ride back with her. During her brush at death, she starts having self-doubt and questions what she's doing. Unfortunately when a violent string of murders happens in her community, Stephanie knows that she has unleashed evil. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Not the finest book
The story is very predictable and the characters are one dimensional and boring.
Daniela Acitelli will hopefully become a better narrator as she has the voice. She sounds like she is simply reading and there are only one or two inflections throughout the entire book.

suspend your beliefs before proceeding
Stephanie seems to be a one woman vigilante and superhero for the down trodden. A fantastical tale with a great deal of suspension of beliefs is necessary to listen to this. I had a strong suspension about Earl, and I was correct about his identity. It was kind of humorous how Earl died three times. I guess she needed to work out her aggression somewhere, and now she doesn't need therapy. LOL! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions.

Tough listen
The story was ok. Was easy to get into since it was a continuation of the first book. The ending was a bit predictable but still interesting. Just as the first book, the narrator reads as if she’s a kindergarten teacher. This writers attempt at humor in the form of “playful banter” is just ridiculous. Add the fact that the narrator has absolutely no grasp of the proper inflections needed for “banter” and i almost had to stop listening. I’m glad I got through it and made it to the end as it really is a decent and interesting story.

Yea... I did not see this coming!
Holy smokes! You do not really have to read book 1 to enjoy this book, but you will have a better understanding of Stephanie’s background. In book 1, Stephanie thought that she’d rid the city of a serial killer...now she realizes that his father followed her in time travel! When bodies start turning up around the city, Stephanie knows that she has the stop Earl Ray...first she has to find him. This book is another win by the author! It is well written, action packed and full of suspense! Narration is on point! Highly recommend this book if you want a great thriller!
