Story
Everyone in the small beach town of Matagorda, Texas, thought that Travis Lee and Savannah Walker were destined to be together. Travis had fallen in love with her beautiful turquoise eyes when he was eight years old, and for the next 10 years they planned every detail of their lives; he would become a lawyer and she would raise their three children in a beautiful beach house overlooking the ocean. Unfortunately, all those plans and dreams disappeared into the hot, humid Texas air when Savannah shattered his 18-year-old heart.

Story
A tragic love story methodically woven around a fallen country music star, a beautiful dancer, a 13-year-old child genius, and a powerful, psychopathic judge. A friend pulls out a Ouija board and asks you to play. It's just a game, right? But when the Ouija board reveals a secret you've never disclosed, then "the spirit" asks you to warn his living sister that she is about to be murdered.... What would you do? This is the scenario that tragically entangles the lives of Max Allen, Carla Cecil, and Bradford Doss.

August Harvest: a more aptly named novel I have never known.
Ben Marneys’ most moving novel to date. Characters to Love whose paths are filled with both pathos and joy. And a character to loathe! Seemingly whimsical intuitive communication offset by deep spiritual understanding, questioning and acceptance all woven into a lively story of love on all fronts interrupted by loss and mystery and new growth. Live , mystery, suspense and surprise. What could be better? The author reading it for the audiobook. Great enjoyment.
