Keep me engaged from start to finish!

I loved that it was set in PNW! This whodunit kept me engaged from start to finish. JC Fuller did an EXCEPTIONAL job describing enough, characters included, that I truly could envision everything including the scenery. I cannot wait to dive into book two!

Suspenseful movement

I cannot wait to read the next one in the series. I read a lot and ran out of good authors to read, until I found JC Fuller! I bought the book because it is narrated by Nancy Peterson who has never let me down. I was not disappointed and read the book nonstop!

A mystery that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat!

This mystery was fantastic!! I found Fuller on t•kt•k and love her videos, so I had to check out her mystery suspense! I am SO glad I did. I listened to this one and loved the narrator. In fact part way through I checked to see the names of the narrators, only to be shocked to find out it was only ONE - Nancy Peterson - she is FANTASTIC!!

As far as the mystery, this book had me all over the place trying to guess who the murderer was. It got very suspenseful once the murderer showed themselves. The mystery was well written and clues layered out cleverly. I always think it must be hard to write a good mystery that isn’t easy to guess. Fuller is AMAZING and I will definitely be reading more!

The characters are really well written and the island very well described. I look forward to see more of what happens on Rockfish Island, and what happens to the characters. I’m seeing a possible romance that may progress, I hope. The people on that island were really unique, as Sheriff Lane finds out.

If you love a good mystery, with suspense and a possibility of romance in the air, you definitely should check out this book! I definitely recommend it!

Loved this book. The narrator did an excellent job with the various characters and the story line kept you wondering who dunnit till the end. Truly enjoy this author’s work and anxious for the next release.

I Would Arm Wrestle A Bear For This Book

The author, JC Fuller, is a self-published author who puts traditionally published authors on alert. JC is a master at twists and turns, red herrings, and pulling the rug out from under you just when you think you have the mystery solved. If you love a good contemporary mystery, then her series is for you.
The characters are well-built, with rich depths and very relatable. My personal favorites are Sheriff Lane and Phillip Russell, the park ranger. This dynamic duo play so well off of each other that you know there is something more between them, they just haven't realized it yet!
The world-building is very well done. A perfect blend of appropriate descriptions that helps the story move along. JC has thought this out meticulously, creating a true work of art. In fact, I could see her Rockfish Island Mystery series becoming a tv series. ARE YOU LISTENING NETFLIX? If she decided to put together a Kickstarter to create her own series, I would invest.
I am not going to give any spoilers away because I want you to experience the amazing journey through this "who done it" as I did. You will get hooked from the first chapter and never look back.
The narration for the Rockfish Island Mystery is performed by Nancy Peterson, a master at the art of narration. Nancy creates the characters with an ease that is awe-inspiring. I have to tip my hat to this amazing team of author and narrator. This is what happens when fate loves you!
So stop reading my review and go buy the books and audiobooks. The Push, which is the second book in the series and False Findings, the third book in the series are stronger yet. Don't forget to pick them up at the same time. You will need them when you finish the first book and find yourself needing more of the story. As for me, I am off to find a bear to arm wrestle so JC will work on book 4!

If you are looking for a chillingly, cozy book to listen to/ read, this is perfect! I definitely recommend this book to murder mystery lovers who can appreciate the intensity of small town gossip and drama. Absolutely loved it!

Loved this book!

This was a great story and I really got invested in the characters. JC Fuller does a wonderful job pulling you into their lives. Nancy Peterson did an amazing job with the narration. The humor and the seriousness both were captured to perfection. Can't wait for book two!
