Story
Reese Witherspoon’s grandmother Dorothea always said a combination of beauty and strength made Southern women “whiskey in a teacup”. We may be delicate and ornamental on the outside, she said, but inside, we’re strong and fiery. Reese’s Southern heritage informs her whole life, and she loves sharing the joys of Southern living with practically everyone she meets. She takes the South wherever she goes with bluegrass, big holiday parties, and plenty of Dorothea’s fried chicken.

But, as Rachel writes, it is up to you how you come through your pain - you can come through changed for the better, having learned and grown, or stuck in place where your identity becomes rooted in what hurt you.

Publisher's Summary
"I want to be healthy and fit 52 weeks of the year, but that doesn't mean I have to be perfect every day. This philosophy is a year-round common-sense approach to health and fitness that involves doing your best most of the time - and by that I don't mean being naughty for three days and good for four. I mean doing your absolute best most of the time during every week, 52 weeks of the year." (Carrie Underwood)
Carrie Underwood believes that fitness is a lifelong journey. She wasn’t born with the toned arms and strong legs that fans know her for. Like all of us, she has to work hard every day to look the way that she does! In Find Your Path, she shares her secrets with listeners, with the ultimate goal of being the strongest version of themselves, and looking as good as they feel. Carrie’s book will share secrets for fitting diet and exercise into a packed routine - she’s not only a multi-Platinum singer, she’s a businesswoman and busy mom with two young children.
Based on her own active lifestyle, diet, and workouts, Find Your Path is packed with meal plans, recipes, weekly workout programs, and guidelines for keeping a weekly food and workout journal. It also introduces listeners to Carrie's signature Fit52 workout, which involves a deck of cards and exercises that can be done at home - and it sets her fans on a path to sustainable health and fitness for life. Fit52 begins with embracing the "Pleasure Principle" in eating, making healthy swaps in your favorite recipes, and embracing a long-view approach to health - so that a cheat a day won't derail you.
Throughout the book, Carrie shares her personal journey towards optimal health, from her passion for sports as a kid, to the pressure to look perfect and fit the mold as she launched her career after winning American Idol, to eventually discovering the importance of balance and the meaning of true health. For Carrie, being fit isn't about crash diets or a workout routine that you're going to dread. It’s about healthy choices and simple meals that you can put together from the ingredients in your local grocery store, and making the time, every day, to move, to love your body, and to be the best version of yourself.

Thanks Carrie
I got a handful of take-always from listening to this book. It was a little heavy on the explanations of workouts that would have been better in a fitness video than a textbook. A lot of stress on eating vegetarian/healthy on the road instead of ordering room service, and that’s not something I personally need help with, but I’m sure others do! It was worth the listen, but not necessarily something I would listen to again or recommend to just anyone. Love the fit52 lifestyle mindset!

not what i expected or hoped for??!
i sort of went in ... i mean i know there there is a note of exercise implied will be in this audio read ... but it was not what i had hope it would be dominated within this read ... i watched American Idol and Carrie was one of my faves ... i wish it had been more portray as an EXERCISE book verses something else. i would recommend this book to ladies who have kids, ladies (ladies who wanna do her workout, use her app, etc.) who are trying to get more time out of their lives ... how prioritizes more effectively. maybe u r the one who has lots of irons in the fire, (you know that saying??) or maybe u have read the book "Girl, Stop Apologizing by: Rachel Hollis"? i wonder if Carrie and Rachel know each other ... it sounds so similar ... i think for me ... i don't have kids ... i am married ... but it think that some folks are not as lucky to have the lives that these ladies do ... and i know i know ... we all have lives that are different .. and these ladies are just giving advice or recommendations to u ... but well i think when u r at a certain area in your life ... and this is NOT MEANING TO BE JUDGMENTAL (not yelling, just saying, if u please) ... you have a different outlook on life (i applaud these ladies both in different money groups than i am, i am older than they both are, but i don't think u can not learn something from one person, if we all take the time u will learn something, but i feel this was very ad like ... like Carrie was trying to sell, sell, sell??! i am guessing she is in something for Fit 52 Life? just googled it, it's an app. i am learning as i go ...didn't understand that, i have 4 chapters to go in her book?? that has not been made clear. i know she has a food lady who chats every once in a while, along with a sports lady on this audio book? maybe u have an interest in that??! i guess for me, i don't ever wanna be sold something unless i want it, and i didn't ask for a sales pitch, i respect her more if that had been the idea from the beginning, if it has been made clear, i wish her well on her app, but that is not what i understood would be about or in this book, i guess i need to be more certain before i use my AUDIBLE CREDIT. i want to use that on book - audio books that i wanna read, i am trusting that this will not happen again, because i will do more research for sure!!) ... we all need to be accepting of each other, lifting up all ladies ... supporting, helping, if you need help ask for it and i am not looking down on either of these ladies. ... but both of these books i got them ... both audio books ... and both just didn't live up to what i was looking for in my life ... i am not in their age group ...but i think that is important to get ... or understand ... like i can think of multiple older mentors (authors) who i have gotten their books ... and i did connect with them and i am not in that age group as well ... make u think, no??!

I agree eat healthy, exercise. You are only on this earth once and I don’t want to deny myself something I really love. If this works for her, great. Everyone’s body’s are different. Some swaps are ok. If your in the mood for a real
Hamburger a veggie burger will not cut it. I say eat what you want within reason, portion control, well balanced meals. I love sweets and the thought of eating a piece of cake twice a year is not going to work for me. I need a sweet treat everyday, period.
