Olive Brewster stole my heart...what a great read!

Any additional comments?

Listened while driving, laughed 'til tears streamed out of my eyes! Seriously, the fabulously funny characters and zany plot lines cover the fact that this is a truly modern, poignant story that explores what it means to treasure and protect deep friendship; to bravely face your fears; and to take risks for life and love. Had tears at the end too, but in a good way.......Emmy Rose's narration of Olive Brewster and her cast of characters was pitch-perfect! Definitely one of the BEST audiobooks I have ever listened to.....Buy it!

A funny and sad story

I loved the premise of the story and adored most of the characters. Having said that, the book was funny, but also very sad. It hit too close to home a few times. The looming death of her best friend throughout the story was a bit more emotional to me than I care for when reading a humorous book. It is a good story, but if you are looking for a light, funny read, just know that it does have it's heart wrenching parts as well.

Fun

This one brought smiles and tears. But no surprises. Which is just fine by me. A light, airy love story that will make you smile and tear up just a teensy weensy bit.

BEST AUDIO BOOK I’VE EVER LISTENED TO!

Sorry about the shouty title but this truly was the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to. Everything about it was perfect. The story and the performance. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a book where I’ve laughed and bawled my eyes out at the same time. Proper loud ugly crying and loud laughing. I came to care about Olive and Birdie so much it was heartbreaking when the book finished.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Usually I potter on with my day whilst I’m listening. If I’m not driving I’m working in my garden, doing the housework, cooking, washing up, knitting, painting, having a bath. This is the first time I have just stopped. Sat on the sofa and listened to the last 3 hours in complete soggy rapture.
