Absolutely fabulous

As an entrepreneur, I wish I would've listen this book years ago to help me improve my website, ad copy, and newsletter content. This book is a great tool, especially for a novice copywriter. I keep it close to my computer.

Excellent advise

Phil Sweet is not only a great guy, he knows his stuff when it comes to copy. This is a great companion and reference manual for tightening up your game. Seriously. Get it.

I left the simple concepts in this book as I went

I left the simple concepts in this book as I went down the copy writing hole. The only thing I got was confusion. I got so bogged down with so much info I was not able to put any of it to use. I get so much Working Anywhere advice that has everyday. Highly recommended.

Good overview, nice examples, worth a read

This book has a great overview of various important elements of copywriting.

Some areas do leave something to be desired though. I would have liked to see some processes for determining what to write in different situations.

A later chapter covers a possible outline for a sales page with what is called the question-opener... But no other strategies are offered.

I work in copywriting and our agency has a dossier of opener styles. I was hoping to compare and contrast with that.

Overall though it is a good book for the beginner to intermediate copy writer. Nice section about how to Hire a copywriter should help.

SEO section was a nice addition. While it was very high level, it was surprisingly good advice packaged into a small space. (my agency also delivers professional SEO services, I contrasted the book to what we deliver for clients)

Narration is a but monotone, but not terrible.

Good book on copywriting.

A very good and helpful book. Too many writers use far too many words to express themselves. Thinking through what one wants to express and saying it clearly in as few words as possible is important. This book is a valuable tool.

One of the best book!!

You need this

I am in the midst of writing an information piece for my website and ordered this book to give me some ideas of what good copy should have. The book was very helpful, although I couldn't use many of his suggestions. I did make some changes that I hope will make it better.

Short, and a little too brisk for the price

The content that was covered was good, but the book was far too fast. I’d expect 3-4 hrs for something as vast as this topic.
