Adorable hockey romance with good narration

5 ⭐️ 3 🌶️
This was one of my top 5 sports romances of the year and overall top 22 of 2022. Ollie and Carter were super cute. I liked the narrators a lot! Alex Kydd’s Canadian accent for Carter was perfection!

If you are looking for your next hockey romance with a reformed player, this is it! Carter is just hilarious with how obsessed he is with Ollie.

Male narrator was awful

Male narrators female voice made me unable to listen. Cringed every time he talked. Wasn’t able to finish because I couldn’t stand it anymore!

This book was great! I thought the story line was so good. It wasn't crazy predictable and the hockey accent was perfect!

I loved this book! It’s now one of my favorites! I can’t wait to check out the rest of the series!

Over all it was ok

The story was very drawn out for me. I enjoyed the performance and narration. He sounds soooo cute. Both narrators did a great job. The story fell a little flat for me. But I still walked away with Carter as my new book boyfriend!

OMG

This is my first time reading this author and probably my last. While it was a cute story, it was entirely too long. You can basically read the first middle and last chapters and you wouldn’t have missed anything because it is repetitive!!

Swoony romance

Okay, okay. I get all the Carter Beckett hype now.

Carter Beckett falls first and falls HARD. I love a good “reformed playboy” trope when it’s done well. I think that the author did a good job of showing how Olivia and Carter overcame his past and her insecurities.

It was sweet, swoony, and so dang spicy 🥵 like whoa!

And chapter 48 pretty much broke my heart before it got put back together again. If I’m being nit-picky, the only thing was a few lines of Carter’s dialogue that gave me the ick.

I’m ready for Adam’s story lol

The story line of the book was awesome. The narrators were a bit cringe worthy.

I love Carter and Olivia. Sweet and steamy 💕🌶️💕🌶️

I loved this book. Carter, once he starts romance, is amazing at it. He is sweet and kind and so in love with Olivia. She is feisty and strong and loving. Their love is beautiful. Their story is a journey with all the feels. The side characters are heartwarming and fun. The spice is hot. I loved their HEA.

Adult love book! I enjoyed the storyline and performance. So many sexy scenes and great love.
