The female narrator gives me the ick

I listened to another book with this narrator and swore I would never listen to another again. I thought she sounded familiar in the sample but no complaints in the reviews like the other book so I thought it was safe. Here’s your warning if you hate her voice and inflection as much as I do.

Absolutely FLAWLESS

Dare I say that this book was flawless?!

“But I want to make one thing clear. I am not possessive. I am protective. And I’ll never stop protecting you. I’d hit that f$&%er again in a heartbeat if it meant keeping him from talking to you that way.”

Y’all, this book is one of my new favorites. I couldn’t put it down. Apparently I have a thing for bull riders.

Summer and Rhett. I don’t even know what to say. Summer is sent to be Rhett’s “babysitter” after he said some things and is losing sponsorships. She has to stay at his house with his family. Rhett is not a fan and doesn’t care that Summer knows. But man, that slowly starts to change and I fell hard for Rhett. He is so protective over Summer and ugh. LOVE.

There are some amazing side characters, especially Rhett’s brothers and Summer’s dad. It sets us up perfectly for more books in the series.

You guys!! I have been obsessed with Flawless since I read the ebook but somehow the audio brought it up to another level. The way the narrators brought out all the emotions and feelings was next level. It truly is flawless and I can’t wait to get my ears on all of Elsie’s books. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great book….except

Sorry, but the narrator, Emma Wilder, ruined at least part of the book for me. Sebastian York is fantastic and narrates so dang well! His voice and inflections are perfect! I kept wishing I had just read the book instead of phoning for it on Audible. Good story though.

Dirty Talking Cowboy!

Cowboy take me away!! To say I loved this story is an understatement, it was everything I love about rough and grumpy cowboy romances! Rhett Eaton is every fantasy come to life, he’s a sexy bull rider, he’s a dirty talker, he’s gruff and protective and cares for what is his. And being a tough cowboy means that when Summer is assigned to babysit him by his agent in order to clean up his image, he is not a happy man. These two don’t start off on the right foot but there was no denying the sparks between them. Her sassy, take no bull attitude was the perfect offset to Rhett’s gruff demeanor, she wasn’t going to let him walk all over her no matter how good his butt looked in his jeans!

“If you’re not walking bow-legged tomorrow, I won’t have done my job tonight.”

The chemistry between Summer and Rhett was scorching from the start and when they finally gave into temptation it was off the charts HOT. And the banter between them added some great sexual tension, especially during a certain whipped cream scene, holy hot stuff! But I also loved the intimate moments when Summer was taking care of his sore and injured muscles, swoon. Plenty of good drama surrounded their relationships and when hidden truths were revealed I was definitely shocked at what had unfolded in their past! If you want a small town romance to make you swoon one moment and fanning yourself the the next I highly recommend this book!

Sebastian was the PERFECT Rhett, all deep growls and grumpy cowboy. And Emma portrayed Summer’s sass and take no bull attitude like she herself was taking on the gruff Rhett. The audiobook absolutely made me love this book even more, I laughed out loud while listening at certain scenes and the narration definitely turned up the heat!
