substance, texture, literally, historical elements

I absolutely loved the romance without details best left to the imagination. it's prose l, so richly spoken, the young, the young at heart, and ages late teen, to 200. just in case that person has been born.

seriously though. the detail in the telling of the Cornish wives, sisters, daughters and the like, and how they woven the hydrophobic wool so tightly yet each and every one uniquely patterned to identify each man on the sea, fishing.

a long description of a fairly short part of the story, yet it's so well told, that it takes me that long to accurately describe the scene.
the story itself is just as unique. thank you for this beautiful tale,

I will admit it did drag at first then it picked up it was a cute story. If you like romance then this is for you.

Sweet story with sweet characters

Mending Hearts is a simple story that touches on family feuds, historical interpretations, and how perceptions influence relationships. Sam and Abby are interesting main characters, with appropriate growth portrayed through their changed behaviors and their insights into the mystery of their family histories. Although the plot is predictable, I appreciate that it focuses more on character growth and normal attraction instead of the blatant lust that's portrayed in so many other romance novels. The narration is nice, but it would have been helpful to have the voice actors each portray one character, especially since there were so many voices. It seemed strange for Abby's voice actor to have to also voice Sam, and vice versa, simply because of the chapter's point of view. Overall, this was a great story.

Loved the tie in about sewing artistry,clean language, I would let my grandmother read it.

Outline of a great story!

Came across as a short story with parts rushed and underdeveloped. I would have listened eagerly to the same story twice as long! I wanted to know so much more!
