Publisher's summary

Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon.

Knox doesn’t tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded, runaway bride.

Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin, to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way....With fists and beer. Usually in that order.

Too bad for Naomi, her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn’t know she had. Now, she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home - with an 11-year-old going on 30 to take care of.

There’s a reason Knox doesn’t do complications, or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But, since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble, he can leave her alone, and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.

At least, that’s the plan, until the trouble turns to real danger.

Great story and narration!

Things We Never Got Over introduces us to a small town in Virginia - Knockemout, and it’s eclectic mix of residents. In true Lucy Score fashion, the author masterfully created yet another quirky community that I absolutely adored. Our protagonists, Naomi and Knox, as well as the dynamic cast of secondary characters are sure to immediately capture your heart.

“Sometimes you don’t need a history to see the future”.

The story is mainly enemies to lovers, with a bit of a mistaken identity but most importantly it’s about taking chances and being brave when love comes calling.
This book has all the hallmarks of a perfect romcom - love, swoon, steam, intrigue, grumpy hero and sunshine heroine, meddling, well meaning friends snd guaranteed HEA.
The narration by Sebastian York and Lila Winters is phenomenal, they have a way of bringing you into the story and making you feel like you are an active participant.
I definitely recommend Things We Never Got Over to all romcom enthusiasts!

Good story

Rough and tumble main character, I have known men like him before and once you get past the rough exterior you find a grumbling teddy bear.

Volume problems, but great story!

Great storyline! SebYo did amazing as always. Lila had a hard time being comparable, her voice was decent. Mostly complaint with producer in how their volumes were off, I had to turn it up every time SebYo talked because Lila was louder than him. Luckily this wasn’t duet or it would have been unbearable.

Story was great! And despite audio problems it was worth the credit because Lucy did a wonderful job in creating such a great town with unique characters. I was never bored. I look forward to her next since it says book 1 I assume it’s a new series.
